Are these allowed? http://www.strongblade.com/nav/latexswords.html
We have one of these and my wife's costume would be more complete if it were allowed.

As long as it's securely peace-tied.
A foam sword needs to be peace-tied? Seems to me that a scabbard would have more chance of being able to hurt somebody than a foam sword would.. :-\
The dingus grabbing for it may not realize it's foam, he (or she) might just see 'untied sword' -- if it's tied, that temptation is, well, tied down. Besides, it makes life easier for everyone (especially safety and security!!!!) if they just have to glance and see a tie, not have to decide if the untied weapon is all right or not as the person darts by in a mad dash to the pub or privvy. ;)
FelineGroovy's got it right! I know, I felt sorta goofy saying a foam sword had to be peace-tied, but the reality is, it's hard enough to allow weapons, and you've got to draw lines -- if it looks like a weapon, it's got to be peace-tied. Otherwise our security folks will be tied up all day with being sent to peace-tie an unsecured "weapon", and other patrons will see it and think that their "real" blades don't have to be tied.
