Title: Super 8 Breakfast
Post by: Bonny Pearl on April 08, 2010, 06:01:47 PM
I know Super 8 offers breakfast, but since we've always stayed at other places....I don't know what kind of stuff 8 usually has.

One thing I am a fanatic about is real coffee creamer!  Yes, I'm an old school, no fru-fru flavored coffee person.  Does anyone recall if Super 8 carries the real stuff along with the flavored?  If not, I'm stoppin' and gettin' my coffee fixins' (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2484/4503426023_338a504b42_o.gif)

Is the food pastries, cereal and such or do they have things like waffles?

Thanks!

Bonny...I am not a coffee drinker...so I don't remember about the creamer  :-\

BUT...from what I remember from last year...the breakfast was mostly bagels, pastries, and cereal.  It might have changed from last year, but I know I am bringing our breakfast with us ;)  I wasn't too impressed with it last year...hope this helps!  See you tonight!   ;D

HI Bonny,
Seems like they only have the powdered creamer, but I may be thinking of somewhere else. If I remember right, their coffee is really good but I drink it black. We usually wait til we get to Faire and hook a right to the bakery for breakfast! We are staying at Super 8 this weekend, but only Saturday night. We will be at opening gate tomorrow, but are just driving down in the morning. Send us an email if you guys might want to hook up Saturday night for dinner. rickwilsonsd@yahoo.com. Some others might be joining us.

thanks all!  i will get my coffee stuff for sure and bring some breakfast burritos or something like that.

the breakfast question was mostly for our son who is 8 and just in case he's 'starving' before we get to faire.  i swear i'm really paranoid about what our grocery bill is gonna look like when he's a teen!  :o  think i ought to open up a second savings account and instead of calling it a christmas fund, i'll name it the bottomless pit fund?  ::)

ryk, i'm sure there will be a large group going to dinner on saturday, which sounds great to me!  ;D

jules, see you tonight!  i'll look for ya pool side!  *that reminds me to bring our lawn chairs, gotta put that on the list...*

We had two boys...nearly need to get a second job to feed him!

Our first time staying at Super 8 by the way, so hope to get to meet some of you guys for the first time and hook up with old friends. Can't wait........

Gotta do two dull meetings and an in-service today, will seem like forever.

Hey I don't remember the coffee stuff either, but they have upgraded some things.
Flat screens, new bigger fridges and microwaves. Hope to see some old and new faces this weekend.

It was more like bring your wetsuit lol.  That water was icy cold!  Maybe it will be better for swimming in a few weeks.

I feel your pain.  We have a 12YO that I swear is growing exponentially.  The shoes I bought him 6 months ago & were a bit too big then?  Yesterday he complained they were too tight, even with thin dress socks. (Thankfully they were on clearance at Target!)  He has less than 2 months left at a uniform school & I'm terrified his pants are going to hit capri level before the end of the school year.
AFA food, I recommend popcorn & buying in bulk.   ;D

Nice to have met John, Sally, Lachelle, Beanie, Jerry and Alice and the rest of the "new group" ha ha....see you guys next week.
