Title: What's your 2010 Faire Schedule?
Post by: Lady Renee Buchanan on April 10, 2010, 04:37:53 AM
I thought if people posted where they plan to be in 2010, others going to those faires could know who to look for!

So here's ours

BARF Mar 13-14 (already been, and had a blast!)
Scarborough in TX for the RenDezvous Apr 24-25
Janesville, WI  Sunday, May 16
Dubuque, IA  May 22-23
Jubilee College, Peoria, IL  Sunday, June 20
Bristol   Sundays in July, August & Labor Day Sunday & Monday (but not July 11th or 18th when our son is coming home to visit)
Stronghold, Oregon, IL  Oct 3-4
Madison, WI  Indoor winter faire held some time in December

For this year, we will have visited a faire 9 out of the 12 months.

Also a Seven Nations concert in Dubuque - does that count?

Now where is my bank card?  ::)

I made it over to Sherwood Forest Faire on 21-Mar-10.  That will probably be it for me this year.

EDIT:  I'm going to get to visit MNRF on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, while on vacation visiting my parents where they live during the Summer near St Cloud, MN.

Take Care,
David Baldock

Our entire schedule has gone out the window.  We were planning Sterling, New York (near Tuxedo), Great Lakes, Michigan, Ohio and Maryland, but now I will be lucky to be able to get to only Sterling.

The reason?  Lady Heather and I are expecting our second child mid-August!  Worth the sacrifice, IMO!

So far...

Sherwood Forest Faire (in February)
Scarborough - all season (April and May)
Texas Renaissance Festival - at least Thanksgiving Weekend if not more

We're plotting and planning for a long-weekend visit somewhere, either over July 4th or Labor Day in September but haven't firmed up any plans yet. Colorado and Sterling are high on the options list, but suggestions welcomed!

We're still planning on being at DesMRF opening weekend... all three days (hopefully). So far the remaining Sundays are up in the air as Sir Morgan doesn't get home from work until 10/11 Sunday mornings. By the time he gets home, showers, gets in his kilt and all it may be after 1 before we get there. We're gonna play those days by ear.
Looks like we'll be at MiRF both Saturday 9/25 and Sunday 9/26. My mom will be joining us on Saturday... in garb no less. Last year she didn't get to see much of faire due to my wedding so this year she agreed to go with Sir Morgan and me for part of the day. Hopefully she will be able to get around without much trouble... she's 81 and still pretty good  :D.
