Thank you!! A dream come true. Extreme!!!!
Ah great, rockin' fun event and I have a family reunion on South Padre Island... so sad I get sunshine and fun relatives.... But I will seriously miss ya'll!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe ya'll could do this multiple times? I want to be there to help and meet up with the Sherwood folks again!
Huzzah! What fun! I miss faire already!
Is that the parking lot on Old Potato RD used for patrons???Alas- I will be a day tripper again.
going to have to put this one on our family event calendar! we missed the first year of sherwood and i was royally bummed. i am excited to see how things have transpired since our visit last august; the photos are such teasers!
I will be there! I'll ask it off.
Stephanie
I will be there during the day for sure and part of the evening at least.
Probably working on the clan area but definitely planning to make visit inside to lend a hand where I can.
*there will be rum served right?*
ill be there for sure with some friends to help out, yet another thing to look forward to for the summer :)
i wish it was sooner. so miss our tribe!
:-*Oh, how I wished I could have gone. The children have been sick these last few months and made it impossible to attend.....But, guaranteed I will be there next year. My question is who do we get in contact with to see if there is any way of getting some info on reserving a campsite? Is it for the regulars that will attend every weekend during the season or will it apply to everyone that wants to set up camp? I would like to see if there is a clan that I might be able to join? If anyone has any info please let me know...

You need to get with mpullen here on the forum. He is the benevolent dictator of SWFF camp grounds. I believe there is currently a waiting list for new groups.
The alternative is the open/general camping, or shacking up with a group that already has a reserved site.
~KP~
KP is correct.
The weekend gathering is mainly for volunteers to come and help improve the Faire area. Things like clearing debris, levelling paths up the hill for mobility impaired access, painting signs, etc.
If folks want to help, they need to contact the volunteer coordinator. I don't know if someone has filled that position, since management requested a person willing to take up the duties a few weeks ago. Until the volunteer cordinator is identified, you might want to drop RenGypsy a note at admin@sherwoodforestfaire.com.
In addition, groups wanting to come out and improve their campsites in the reserved campgrounds can come onsite Saturday, camp out Saturday night, and leave Sunday afternoon, with the provision that all trash must be taken out (no dumpsters available).
If there are volunteers who want to camp the weekend, but aren't a member of a group in the reserved campgrounds, I think I can find you a camping spot in either the Participants campgrounds or the Patrons General/Open campgrounds. Same requirement concerning all trash to be taken out.
If any trash is left behind, I think everyone can guess on what management's response will be concerning camping during the gathering weekends until just before the 2011 opening.
the gathering is for all
those who wanna work on their clan sites
those who wanna help cut roots, trim trees, etc in the faire grounds
those who wanna just lounge around and partake of good company
socializing will start later in the afternoon with a cover dish dinner and some entertainment
hopefully, drummers and other musicians will join us late in the evening at the seven sisters
all are welcome--young and old alike
just wanting to keep the spirit alive and well and our community together
You can count on this drummer to be there for the entire time!!
I plan on making an appearance...looking forward to it.
I plan on being there with my drum. Not sure if I will camp or not.
Looks like Lady Guinevere and I will be treking up that way together! ;D Will be sure to bring something yummy for supper. :)
*i wonder if my son would let me borrow his drum lol*
The forest with all her lifeforms are in full bloom, but Sherwood is just starting to sprout again. Our harvest was the early spring, and the new sprouts are now poking out their heads, ready to be cultivated to maturity through the year, and pollenated by our final gatherings of the year, to start blossoming again in Feb - contemporary with the early birds of Spring... but before the 'skeeters, the stickers and things slithery and sharp. This up-coming gathering, however, falls right in the middle of Spring's bounty of new life - and life will compete with life. So be ye aware! You may find flowers and berries that want picking, but they may well be guarded by snakes, so plan to wear closed shoes and long pants if you see yourself straying from the path! And you will certainly need to prepare yourself with anti-mosquito potions - unless you are particularly blessed. :P
Joe and I can't WAIT to come out to the faire again!
Hey Hams!
On June twelfth, when we spirits descend upon the magical Sherwood Forest once again, intending to call the muses of mirth and revelry, we hope that you will consider sharing some of your talents with us. We will be gathering around the seven Sisters Stone Circle, nearby the Plum tree stage, which I intend to light up, and offer as a forest venue for those who wish to take the stage. Please contact me if you would like me to reserve 20-30 minutes for you. If you wish to wait for the muse to strike you, we will surely be able to work you in, but let me hear from those who want me to prepare for them, and to talk them up-----------------Looking forward to sharing with you then-------------------------------Autouloucous -512-731-2316 (a.k.a.Zane) entertainment@sherwoodforestfaire.com
