So did anyone watch House this week? It was about a knight from the Renaissance and they had to go to check it out. It was interesting that everyone was dressed up and talked properly, but the missed the most important character. The Tramp with the pirate in the bag costume and high heels. ;D
I watched to first part of it. Had to leave before the end. But I kept looking for the Mundanes. Was it maybe an SCA event rather than a Faire? Not one person was in jeans.
There were extras from SoCal with psrts filmed at Koroneburg. The renaissance Pleasure faire sent a newsletter out about it. there's a thread in the movie/books/tv section.
house on april 19 (http://"http://www.renaissancefestival.com/forums/index.php?topic=11403.0') the thread.
A BUNCH of my friends were in it, and I kinda thought their garb was better than the actors' ... although I willingly admit that I'm biased. Koronaburg is a permanent site, so they have a really nice joust set-up.
I thought it was funny about there being no mundanes, but it was Holllywood's version of a faire after all.
*squeeee!!!*
So, House is very nearly my favorite show on television (meaning: its the only one I take care in having Jared DVR for me :D ) so I totally geeked out when my fave show + my fave location (?) were smashed into one hour long episode of joy. *le sigh* It was awesome. I have to admit....I nearly jumped off the couch in uninhibited glee when 13 and House were walking around in garb talking about medical stuff....ohhhh it was my dream come true. :D
hehe
*end geek-out*
What, nobody likes Jeopardy? The best show ever!?

So, my dreams involving faire must be Hollywood since mundanes are always absent... hmmm...
Demetrius, your dreams proscribe your reality....so, if mundanes don't exist in your dreams, how could they exist at all? Now, 'Danes' exist, of course, or else we wouldn't have any pillaging. It takes a Viking to Raze a village!!

They even did "Past Times With Good Company" :)
I only watch House when I get homesick for my big brother. He has the degree, the pompous attitude, same number of friends and the limp... only he looks more like Tom Sellack. It is almost scary. I meet people who have worked with him and they are always afraid to admit they worked with him and are cautious around me after they know I am related.
So needless to say... it hits too close to home. Fun diagnosis though.
I saw that guy who plays House on another show and he has a really fake British accent...
(I've heard the same complaint of British people who came to faire). ;)
Hugh Laurie is actually English. I'll bet the other show was Jeeva and Wooster where he plays the wasteral Wooster. Jeeves is his servant, and is always getting him out of jams. Its hilarious, though typical British dry humor. After watching some of those, Wooster and House are like two peas from the same pod.
