174 years ago today the Battle of San Jacinto was fought where Texas and Texicans won their independence. To Quote a line form the movie Alamo They now faced the decision that all men in all times must face ... the enternal choice of men ... to endure oppression or to resist.
I missed your post earlier.
My GG Grandfather missed the battle. He was on guard duty in the camp at Harrisburg.
That location is now just an exit off I-45 noth of downtown Houston.
