Ok...Is the Sterling RF the SAME as the NY ren faire? Does Sterling just run into the NY? Are they in the same place?
We're hitting Sterling over the 4th so we can see Don Juan and Miguel (hope DJ is fully recovered and back on both feet) and to go to Linda's Hairlooms so I can comission a Juliet cap for my wedding.
What other delights should we make sure to experience while we're there?

Sterling Renaiisance Festival and the New York Renaissance Faire are 2 totally seperate faires.
Sterling Renaissance Festival is located in upstate New York near Oswego.
New York Ren faire is located in southern New York near Tuxedo.
It is sometimes mistaken for Sterling cause the woods around it where the faire site is located is called Sterling forest.
Sterling runs from July to the middle of August.
The New York ren faire runs August to labor day weekend.
As for as what to experience at Sterling i would suggest the following :
- The Joust
-any of the musical acts
-the falcon show
-the food
-the vendors and crafts people
-just walk around and enjoy the interaction between cast and visitors.
hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Sterling is my homefaire.
thank you, dear Lady. I am somewhat less confused now. :)
I am looking forward to Sterling and will TRY to make it to Tuxedo. :)

Evidently he tore his achilles tendon on the last day of the faire in Arizona earlier this year. He needed surgery and had to do one of the Texas faires sitting on a stool, but he seems to be nearly recovered now. They did make some adjustments to the show at Sterling to accommodate his remaining limitations.
