Hello all!
I just wanted to know which hotels you lovely folks will be staying at for the Labor Day Invasion.
I am looking for a hotel that weekend, and typically like to stay where other rennies are staying :) so let me know so I can begin the research!
This thread will probably be useful to those looking for hotels also.
As posted for Rendezvous last year:

Someplace to consider, 2 years ago several of us stayed at:
Best Western
2520 Riva Rd
Annapolis, MD.
It was clean and had the usual breakfast.
I don't think there is a specific Ren-tel, it seems these invasions that folks spread out and concentrate on faire activities rather than hotel stuff ... just my impression. If you consider we start at 0800 with tailgate and end at 2000 (8 PMish) with parking lot. Typically ren-folk are just pooped after faire.
well we live about an hour and 15 minutes from the faire, so while we can easily go back home, it would probably be better for us to stay. thanks for the info!

I agree - if I lived more than 30 min away I would probably book for the night as well.
Any truth to the rumor that the Scotsman and Lady Guinness B & B is opening this year?..;-)

Yeah last year for the labor day invasion, which also happened to be rendezvous,
1-my husband and i went down on Saturday, all was fun. we didnt have a hotel so we drove back home
2-i decided to come back down by myself on sunday, my car broke down exactly half way there, right at the 300 and 301 intersection and i had to be towed back home
3-i ended up tagging along with friends on monday
so yeah...we need a hotel! lol
Found a great list of hotels that are located within 5 miles of the ren fair!

We only live about an hour from faire but on opening weekend and Labor Day Weekend we take our camper out to the KOA, which is only 8 miles from faire. Much nicer to drive that short distance than all the way home.
We are hoping to come up for the Labor Day Invasion this year. Last year we stayed at the Extended Stay hotel listed on the Faire website. I thought it sucked. So I'm working on finding another hotel to stay at.
So far, Expedia will only give me hotels around Baltimore, even when I try to move and update on the map, so I've ventured over to Travelocity.
Will keep you posted! :)
try the link I posted, it gives you a list of hotels within a 5 mile radius of the ren fair
