Title: Faire wedding gift for non-Faire people
Post by: cowgrrl on May 19, 2010, 09:17:24 PM
I just got a wedding shower invite & I wanted to get something from Faire.  No more than say $30 (I don't know her THAT well) & as I said, they're not rennies.  Both mid-20s.  She's a teacher & he's a cop.  Any thoughts or opinions appreciated.

Candles from the candle shop in the Holly Field at SRF. Enchanted Mist is excellent. They cost about as much as a Yankee Candle.

Not sure if it's a good wedding present, maybe more for a birthday, but for a teacher, I recommend one of the jars that say "ashes of problem students". As a teacher, I love those!

(and apparently I can't spell)

One of the lovely pottery bowls from any of our unique crafters would make a lovely wedding gift.

You might check out some of the Pewter shops.

Teacher and cop...probably should skip the hookah....Tink's idea is good. Maybe a couple of the small, cute baby dragon prints at the LA Williams booth/tent (I seem to recall you're a Scarbite). I think they're like $10 per.

Small stained glass piece?  Hollyfield.

Or a couple of those small amazingly lovely spinners (near the joust).  LOVE those.  Have the small Compass Rose in my car.

We just bought a handfasting cord at the Castle Canine Creations (hope I got that right!) as a wedding gift for someone. Unique, unusual and should certainly be one of a kind.
