Title: Stitch and b*tch
Post by: Marietta Graziella on June 20, 2010, 12:56:56 PM
Alright MN peoples!   Are we going to do some sewing before the season gets under way?   I would love some help with the dumbest of projects... a drawstring necked chemise.  Yes, I know, I just can't seem to get that damn neckline sorted out.  Also have a couple of "secret" projects that I could use an extra hand with.

Can you keep a secret?  Are ya game?

When are you thinking of doing this?  What if you are helplessly sewing challenged, but can cut out patterns, pieces and pain in the arse things like that?

Sounds like fun!  I may need new garb for this season.....won't know for sure until Tuesday.....and I am NOT pregnant.  Just case anybody's sick mind went that way.   ;D

I would love to have an excuse to hang out with all of you when I don't have a herd of children around me *not an easy thing at the festivals*. And I truely need a reason to sit and work on more costume pieces... I am super hard on that thing. I am not the best teacher but I do make my own drawstring shirts and have lots of patterns I could share!

It really does depend on where it is though.. I am not always up for a ton of driving around.

The location will be at my house in Elk River-lots of room for whatever project you have going.

The date of this shin-dig, well, that's open for discussion.  I'm of the "sooner the better" school since most projects take more than one day of sewing.  It'd be nice to get a project underway and still have time for questions, more help, or another sewing day to finish up before fest.

Course, it could just be that I'm going a little Faire punchy this year and am looking for any excuse to be immursed in it.  ::)

Most of my weekends are full but would still love to get together!  The only weekend I am available is July 10th.  If we meet on a week day I'm pretty much open.

Well Auntie, I only work part time so I'm open most week days, too.  I know how the weekends fill up over the summer-it's crazy.

And Kate, you know you are *always* welcome, no matter what your sewing handicap may be.   ;)  We need someone to pour the drinks!    ::) ;D  LOL

Sorcha?  Syn?  Muffin? Nyte?  Hellooo ladies?

I'm all for getting together, no sewing projects to speak of though..

My weekends are pretty much all booked up until mid July, and then starting the first weekend of August we'll be out at fest setting up camp, etc...

So I will have to be a maybe..  8)

Here!
I'm in for a Sn'B.  Let me know when I may need to make the trek to the hinterlands.
Weekdays are more difficult for me.  Work and all.  I'm out for 7/10, I already have 3 things planned to do that day already!  :(

7/10 is bad for me too.   Weekdays are really bad for me, as I work for a living.

7/3 is out for me too, I am serving beer for the Booster Club at the Delano Carnival.    (pray for patience for me.)

I'd be happy to be the bartender!   ;D

I will bring my camera to take phodos to prove we are actually sewing something.

Well my schedule is always crazy, but I can try to work my sleep around a bit of stitchin' and b*tchin ;)

I think I'm going to pull the elastic out of my skirt and see if I can sew it to one of my belly bands instead. Just a tiny project for now.

I'll keep an eye on the thread for a set date.
