Title: Brownsville Renaissance festival and Pirate Cruise....
Post by: Rowan MacD on July 06, 2010, 11:11:34 AM
The Mighty Mo has risen.  The 1st annual Brownsville Ren fest and Pirate cruise is apparently canceled for 2010, thanks to the chronic flooding along the Missouri river.

So far, no official announcement on the website, but the noise on the river is: "if its' inside the levee, it's underwater".   Flood stage in Omaha is 29 ft, and the river hasn't dropped under 25ft in weeks.
Per the Musical Blades website they have rescheduled that weekend for the Barataria Faire due to the Brownsville fest being canceled.

   Sucks!
Hopefully this Festival will be back for 2011.  Brownsville is a gorgeous area, but Mother Nature has been hard on the Spring Faire season this year.
