If you are feeling so inclined and helpful, Willing Soles/Heart and Sole needs your assistance, please.
Starting next Saturday and Sunday, August 7th and 8th at 9 a.m. and the following weekend, August 15th and possibly the 16th we are hoping to clean up, paint the interior, and finish up last minute stuff.
If you can come help all day, everyday, or only come for a couple/few hours, that would be great. If you have free time during the week, and want to help, please let me or DB know. I/he will pass on any info to Karlie.
Please bring any tools/implements one may need to clean out a booth. i.e.-gloves, painting implements, buckets, rags, clippers, paper towels, etc. If you think we can use it/need it, bring it. Better to leave in the car and not need it, than need it and wish you had it.
If some one has a gas powered weed whip, that would be awesome.
Make sure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear. The booth next door to us is re-shingling their roof, and nails may have strayed onto the ground. Flip flops may not be a smart choice.
Bring your own lunch/food and beverages (water is a must)
Also note, as we approach Opening Day, driving on the site may NOT be an option. If that is the case, and you have a wagon or hand cart of some kind, and can bring it to haul, that would be great.
If you have little tiny humans, please don't take offense, but please leave them home for safety reasons.
Thank you soooo much.
I'll have a few pictures up tonight to show you what we're up against. Brace yourselves!
We do have our work cut out for us, but I am sure we'll get it completed before opening cannon. ;)
*scared to look at pictures*
Many grateful thanks to all of you again!!!!!
We are setting up our camp site on Sat, and have pub clean the following weekend so we might stop by and say Hi.
Here is a couple pics from a couple of weeks ago.

Um, that looks more like groomporter's shop. 8)
We've been needing a new roof for some time, but I don't think they took it off for us...Here's a photo of the booth from a couple of years ago....

It is and LaVigne's, did not get a pick of Willin's just put them up to show what it kinda looked like out there...
Might I recommend my usual solution, small controlled fires.
Didn't they try that last year up near Bad Manor, with mixed results? :o ;D
Alright, here's the pics I promised...and those last two pics are how close the pit is to the back of the shop. 2-3 car lengths away. It was a tight squeeze to drive back there.

Ouch. The back is a shambles. Which weekend are we tackling that part?
The interior looks much as Keith and I left it, not bad for 24 hours before having to catch our flights back to Nutbow (and huge thanks to those who were able to help us!). The exterior in the back looks pretty windblown, the tarps came down apparently. I'll send these along to Keith so he can get a preview and let you know how soon he will get there.
I'll be out there with Terpsichory rehearsing on the Bare Stage. Will try to stop by and say hello!
(If I'm not too dead after rehearsal. Yesterday was horrible, it was SO. HOT. We were all melting.)

Yeah, it looks like the various storms since last season pretty much tore it apart. Oh, and we had quite the time trying to figure out how to get in. Thought we were going to have to tear the door down until we realized it was
screwed shut... ???
HO-LY CRAP! :P
Looks like we have our work cut out for us! Yikes!!!
Our grateful thanks to you for your hard work this weekend!
I was surprised, only one wasp nest this year. Gonna try putting some weed killer on the brick floor at the end of the season to minimize the weed whacking and maybe again come spring.

Maybe Preen would work good for that.
Ferret
Kate (and Lauren!), Karlie and MG rocked the booth clean up this weekend! The front and inside are lookin' good and ready to roll. Let's see if the boys can get their part sorted out next weekend. ;) Maybe we'll help if they ask real nice. ;D ;)
Hey, I know a little about wasp control. Have a problem on my patio. I should say usually as this year I think I've found a solution, and so far no nests at all! It's called the Waspinator. Kind of like a scarecrow for wasps. You can buy two for about $10. Check it out.
*I sound like a spammer...lol*
MG, let me know what is needed. I'll have it packed in the Bunny and ready to roll.
Check this out....here are the "after" pictures now that we did a bit of sprucing up!

She does look purty doesn't she?
I had a great time today, despite the heat, oh, and those horrible little biting flies. Little b*st*rds. :o
I'm doing the "Lady Renee Buchanan" dance (jumping up and down and clapping my hands ecstatically)!
It looks SO much better than it has for the last several years!
It really has been a labour of love for all of us out there. We have gladly worked, sweated, battled nasty biting flies (rotten beasties!), braved sun, wind, rain (oh heck, let's throw in some sleet just for good measure, since I'm exaggerating anyway), risked life, limb, hair-do, and painted ourselves, in order to have a beautiful place to showcase the amazing leatherwork coming our way. We, all of us, are proud to say we work at WILLING SOLES!!! ;D

Best line ever! :)
It's coming along nicely and I can't wait to see it up close and personal!
If you think we rock on clean up detail, wait 'til you see what we accomplish in sales! ;D
Heads up, I'm sending a friend of mine to your booth for footwear. She'll be introducing herself as a friend of Miss Bubu.
Thank you so much! We'll take good care of her. :)
