Title: We lost something and were hoping someone could help us
Post by: Nighthawk on August 03, 2010, 09:20:36 AM
My 12 year old son lost his hickory long bow in the upper parking lot close to the shuttle bus stop/portaprivys. It has measurement marks from the maker that we didn't sand out and the handle is layered wood, alternating between light and dark layers. It has a black and yellow braided string. If anyone found it, please let me know! He put a lot of work into getting it.

I figure that by now, it's a lost cause, but you never know.

Have you tried calling the festival office?  Maybe it was turned in.

I hope it finds its way home!

We actually realized it wasn't in the car before we got home. We got back to the festival grounds Sunday morning before the gates opened and went back to where we had parked to look. It wasn't there. We checked with lost and found, and left our number with them. Haven't heard back. Made a posting on the festival Face Book page. Nothing. I suspect that whoever found it has no interest in returning it, but you never know.

I have passed your information on to the individual who runs the festival lost and found.  She will check to see if anyone turned it in at the last moment. It's also possible that someone will keep it until the start of next season.  Unlikely, but possible.

My condolences on your loss.

Thanks! I appreciate that.

How dissappointing.  You never know.  Someone still may call the office and leave their number.  I've had very valuable things I've lost returned to me.  I hope it finds it's way back to you.

I lost something at a faire across the country, a tiny pin no less, and it was not only recovered but it was mailed back to me.  So you never know, if you contact whoever runs the lost and found, there could be a chance that it will find its way home to you.  Best of luck.
