OK, now we are going to do Memorable Moments...
other than EVERY moment I spend with Lord Adorable.....
1. 7th weekend. Parade line up. there was a guest pipe & drum band who wend out shortly before us, as they passed us and started playing, I look over at Paige, and she is swinging her trunk & head back and forth... IN TIME!
yep. I been done seen about everything, when I've seen an elephant DANCE!
2. Final closing gate. The Professor Busting A RAP! OMG! Brilliant & hysTERICAL! funniest thing i saw allll year.
1. Being a little big bigger part of faire as court.
2. Seeing old friends and making new friends.

Oh that is precious! My cat used to swing his tail to the beat of Beatles music, no lie. They must have been his favorite because he never did it to any other music.
Shining moments...um....
1. Pranking my newbie to keep her from leaving her retractable exacto knife open in the back...it worked and nobody got hurt, although it looked like it did...
2. Getting my "Elijah loves me" pin from Lord Adorable, and having the honor of giving him lemonade (and often getting hugs in return) whenever he and Dad stopped by.
3. Pinning my favor on my man when he came to see the faire for the first time. There was something very romantic about it - a lord has to wear his lady's favor, right?
Standing outside my shop holding a Shiney Sign.
Yelled, "Shiney", had a lady walk passed and say "Rock on Sister"
???

:'( *sigh* "and his dad"
I used to have a name. now, I'm just a side kick. :'(
but to add another. final weekend Lord Adorable pinned.... John Spurvey!!! That was epic.
(John is manager for games & rides, and he's a pretty serious guy. there is no heart that kid can't melt)

It's Lord Adorable's world...we just live in it!! ;)
And actually I did say "Dad"...not "his dad"...which I figured was a nicer way of titling you. Dad of Lord Adorable is a pretty big deal. :D

he is pretty sure the place was built for him.
and.... I love you too. :-*
I am very touched, and pleased, that those who saw that so enjoyed it. It was a challenge, I decided to give it everything I had. I could only see a little bit of the cast's reaction during the song, but watching Prince Charming sinking to the pavement and rolling around in gales of laughter was reassuring. As far as I recall, the Rap (which I made up on the spot, with the exception of the words that I HAD to get in there), went much like this:
The Professor's Rap
<sound of a malfunctioning steam engine without a governor>
I'm Professor L, today 'The Rapping P!'
I roam around the streets, I teach history
I'm out to join a fra-ter-nit-y...
So I'm laying down the word right now, immediate-ly!
<I was dancing around and making, for no good reason, the Texas Longhorns symbol with both hands>
I been on the streets, I been doin' good,
Chillin' with my homies in the RenFaire 'hood
I got the stuff and moves, my rap is so bodacious
So, y'all, get jiggy with the Prof, Loquacious!
<more boiler sounds>
Got to aim my rap like a guided missile,
I gotta put in words 'Hellya!' and 'Shizzle.'
Gotta do hip hop like a Rennie Frog,
An Academic version of my man, 'Snoop Dog.'
<I was beginning to wonder if we'd need a defibrillator for Brian>
Got the moves, been workin' on them quite some while,
It's word, it's def, it's how we do it, 'Larkspur Style.'
1-2-3-4, busting out my rhymes, I got them, that's for sure...
1-2-3-4. coming to the end now, and I got no more...
<I danced around a bit more, then tried to catch my breath. I needed to.>
Best!
Professor, your rap was amazing! Epic! :)
Professor, as always, you amaze me.
Loquatious, that rap was, by far, the most hilarious thing I've ever seen in Larkspurshire! I thought surely you had prepared it ahead of time, since both the words and the performance appeared well-rehearsed. That you were able to put that skit together on the spot is simply astounding!

OK, now we are going to do Memorable Moments...
The Baroness and I have been discussing this topic off and on since closing gate last Sunday. We've come to the conclusion that, for us, there were simply too many really shining moments this particular season -- our first, but hopefully not the last, as members of the cast -- to pick one, or two, or three, or four, to relate.
Instead, we would very, very much like to convey our heartfelt thanks to ALL of the Larkspurshirians who made us feel so welcome and comfortable in our new role.
Hi everyone! Lee and I felt our shinning moment was meeting so many wonderful people at CoRF. Thank you for making us feel welcomed when visited :D We are still hoping to make it back down next year! We love CoRF!!!!!!
Professor, You really amaze me even more. I also, thought that you had prepared that ahead of time. WOW
I'm afraid I can't pick just one moment that shines over the rest. So many wonderful things over the final weekend at your lovely faire.
Thank you again for being so welcoming! I so look forward to RenDezvous!!!
The one Truely shining moment fer me was First weekend - The Rain Weekend - Sunday - midday, When the sun came came out full and bright and a roar of a cheer went up throughout the faire, and the sun baked rooftops, garments and scant clad bodies as the steam rose from them all.
And FireFlickers Dragon costume w/wings And the Truely shining moment fer me was First weekend - The Rain Weekend - Sunday - midday, When the sun came came out full and bright and a roar of a cheer went up throughout the faire, and the sun baked rooftops, garments and scant clad bodies as the steam rose from them all.
And MG's fabulous hand made by her Pirate outfit w/Tights ;) along with FireFlickers Dragon costume w/wings And the Truely shining moment fer me was First weekend - The Rain Weekend - Sunday - midday, When the sun came came out full and bright and a roar of a cheer went up throughout the faire, and the sun baked rooftops, garments and scant clad bodies as the steam rose from them all.
I'm with Spleen on the cheer that went round the festival on the Rain day, it was kinda cook how the attitude changed so dramatically. Though Im not sure where he got the scantily clad bodies though... we all were layered so much we looked like line backers.
Another is watching Elijah and my little monster playiong catch the hat.
The look on Adriana rose face when i walked into her booth as a fairy
Playing hopscotch with Lord Adorable and Paige and Dad of Lord Adorable. (and having my turn skipped a lot so I could rest)
Sir William as Thor on the last day.
Charming being attacked by many a strapping princess.
I took my man and a friend of his opening weekend, and his friend was in awe of so much, but especially the super loaded baked potato. That boy could have died of joy mid bite. It was fun to watch.
Shouting "Tequila" whereever we were if we could hear Celtic Legacy.
Many shining moments, but one in particular-
Paige, on her way back from parade, reaching down into Rook's tips and grabbing a bunch of cash with her trunk so she could eat it. Bill offered to pay Rook back but he said, "No, it was worth it."
