Any new acts, remodels, booth owners?
My customers will notice that the mead booth has newly stained trim around the doors, windows, eaves, & fascia, a new sign, and refinished counters. Jodi will be returning as server. I am adding my hawt fiance' Katie to my team. I will also have an all new and extra friendly team serving you at the tent booth near Bad Manor. There might even be a reconfiguration of the booth, if MAF has time to get to it.
What kind(s) of mead do you sell?
Typically I carry:
Classic Mead
Egypt'n Mead
Mint
Apple
Raspberry
Strawberry
Cherry
Rhubarb
Bloody (Eldeberry) Mead
We'll see what this year brings.
;D
Is this stuff you make yourself, or is it some national brand? Please pardon my ignorance!
I wish I could afford to try them all! :'(
At Willing Soles, booth #139, you'll see lots of new styles and colours of shoes, including boots! Shoes are the most overlooked item of garb. Willing Soles is the best place to come in order to complete nearly any ensemble!
Hoping to have a batch of new circular 3-track wooden Cribbage boards done.

Thank you for that unsolicited, "woman on the street" endorsement, Lady Renee! ;D She's right, of course. I love mine, too!!!
Most of my shop has been rebuilt. Just passed inspection today! YAY! ;D
Aha!! They're really planning on filling the pit with water and turning the HMS Legend into a floating stage! ::)
The Dueling Grounds will have street fights this year, there are The Sherrif's Men, and Robin Hood has more peeps.

Local to a few faires only. Made in Grandy, MN.
I will be releasing my own conventional wine label by end of next year! :D
Greetings to all, we at Castle Canine Creations, booth #343, will have a Three Muttketeers costume, nobility coats, and t-shirts with sayings such as Vicious Viking and I sniff fairy tails. ;D as well as our celtic handfasting cords. It is a year of new and wonderful goodies. It will be wonderful to escape the 100+ temps of Texas.
Your doggy clothing only fits really small dogs, doesn't it? My girls and I love going into your shop and seeing all of your stuff (and playing with your dog! She LOVES attention to the point of falling off of the counter, if I remember correctly!) but we have a larger dog so we don't really purchase- perhaps a neck ruff, though... Anyway, we look forward to seeing you again this year!

I know, shame on me! And I love my boots! They're every bit as comfortable as my custom Competitive Attitude boots, with a more durable sole.
Fest Friends has moved into our new and improved location ... no more tents on the hill by the garden we are now in our very own building #642/643 just across and down the street from the Mead booth and the Guard camp. Stop by and see the wonderful new "Glade" and all it has to offer our members ... remember that would be a good time to find out how you can join the fun too, remember you can get a day pass to try it out or you can sign up on the spot.

Hey Kyle! Nice running into you & Katie at Lauderdale last week. How is the Bloody Mead stock this year (ie: quantity available)?
Oh! Several more things you will see.
1. Pansy the Unicorn. It was mentioned in the "won't see at MNRF" thread that Pansy was asked not to come back. Pansy will be there.
2. My various attempts to keep my fiance from hearing about Kyle's own wine label he is planning on. I have a feeling I'll be broke next year.
3. Me in tights & sword fighting.

We live there. I have for 33 years.
I do not know the disposition of the Bloody, yet. Last year it took a while to masurate due to the dry conditions. This year was warm and wet, so things might go more smoothly.

YAY for those. I saw that Pansy had posted, but I guess she worked it out. Which makes me happy.
And well tights are good, and sword fighting is better. :)

I also heard that Pansy will be performed by two sisters alternating wearing the costume. Mary will not be in the costume this year.
Hello to everyone.
I'm a new performer for the 2010 faire. I hope to meet you all and learn my way around.
Please feel free to stop by and see the Pizpor Comedy Magic Show. It's not bad, it's just piss-poor.

I was surprised to see you at the Dress Press, Pizpor! I had to pause and remember in which faire grounds I was standing! Knew we hadn't seen you before. Welcome to MN!!! If you have occassion, joins us for morning "hellos" at the Foaming Stein, every fest day at 10:00am.
Thanks so much Dead Bishop and Marietta! I'm really looking forward to the MN experience - I plan to take it all in. The Foaming Stein sounds just up my alley. I think they have me working in the lanes this year, but we'll see what happens. Hopefully I'll get a stage to perform on soon.
See you soon!!
I'm out with a new music group this year called Cromatico. We are an a cappella trio specializing in renaissance and medieval music, and a little bit of folk thrown in for fun. You will mostly find us at the new Chateau Vino, otherwise we will be wandering around site singing where we can. (c:
Look for the stripes.

Welcome, Pizpor! I'm excited to see your show!
Another cool thing this year: the Royal Court has a schedule that will be in the program - so kids/families will always know where to find them.
Also of course the Royal Wedding (9/5) and the Queen's Coronation (9/26). Evidently the wedding will be a big deal with lots of media coverage, etc.
We will also see and hear endless people complaining about Fest Crud. If they would just get the generic Zyrtec and take one in the AM and one at bed time, they would not get it.
You will for sure see a couple of good lookin FOP's.....

Noticed a good crop of ragweed along the back road.
I took one claratin, and put my zyrtec drops in my eyes. I was fine. No fest crud or fest boogies either. Usually I am miserable.
You will see lots and lots of rocks and mud this year. ;D

Lord Paulet is coming Labor Day Weekend and I'm hoping he brings friends.
Splits the Clown may not be home from his trip to Kenya until second weekend, but you can meet him and his newly found cousin Schizo later in the run

Hmmm . . . looking at the BroadSheet for first weekend, I don't see as many mentions of the Royal Court's whereabouts during the day as they mentioned.
BroadSheet (http://www.renaissancefest.com/MRF/assets/week1.pdf)
Also, on the bottom right of the second page, you'll see the Bachelor & Bachelorette parties. (ie: Feast of Fantasy & Queen's Tea). Kind of concerned about the whole cigars in the Feast Hall.
. . . and for a good laugh, check out the First Page, top left under Parties.
And I know who you WILL see---
He likes to drink rum and bodice-dives for flasks even if he THINKS there may be a chance.
He crashes parties and is a shameless attention-ho when it comes to the camera. He has been known to perform on stage with some of the best renaissance performers and chronicles his adventures for all to see.
All this and he was still asked to be best man at his sith master's wedding.
http://www.renaissancefestival.com/forums/index.php?topic=1046.0
But if he gets too much, the only thing you can do is remove him from the scene.

Late to the game, but we have new soaps this year including.....
BACON!!!! (Yes, that's how it's labeled.)
Good to see people this past weekend!
Ferret,
I told you not to mention that. My daughter will want some now. ;D
I think a couple of those for gag gifts are in order...

WOOT!! I may have to wander down there this weekend and check them out.
They are nice but I am sticking to my current boots. I may get a regular pair of sandals this year, time and wallet will tell.
Hah!
Couldn't resist. I put a sign on the table for our Scandinavian Hnefatafl game saying "Watch the Vikings game here!" Tempted to put a bigger sign out front.

LOL! I need to come see this...
My chapped lips. This weekend did a number on my face. Cold and dry. Wish I could drink my product. The Egypt'n has a nice oily leave that coats the lips.
