It appears that goode master Demetrius, overcome once again by heat and yakitori sauce, has forgotten that a year contains but 365 days.  Besides which, 301 days is quite long enough to wait for our beloved Larkspurshire to reopen its gates.

Thank you Demetrius for your assistance with "responding to a quote" on the forum!  Hopefully, this will work.  So, until this evening, I just thought that you were "math-impaired" with counting. I haven't been able to understand how there are over 473 days in a year.  However, now that you've explained how those long winter months can really consist of approximately 300 days alone, it makes much better sense.  I do now see that there's really a theory to your madness.  So nice to have met you and your lovely Lady this evening! Hope to see you both again soon.

By decree of the Baron, next year's festival will now open 172 days earlier than originally planned.  Hip Hip HUZZAH!  ;D

Ok... I think I understand now.... Days until CoRF = (WD * 2.84) + NW, where WD equals days falling during winter, and NW equals days falling in all other seasons... That about get it?

473 days??

Personally, I have three more festivals to go, so the wait isn't so bad. There's the Colorado Scottish Festival and Highland Games next weekend, the Jackson Hole Scottish Festival the following weekend, and the Edgewater Celtic Harvest Festival in mid September. And then I wait until April for the Colorado Tartan Day festival. My season starts early. You should all join the Celtic community! Your season can start in March and end in September, too!! You get 7 weeks... I get 7 MONTHS!!  ;D

So Demetrius,  Have you set up your tent outside the front gate for you and Spleen?

Ungh, that's maybe just barely enough time to figger out how to sew a new bodice!

The Baroness and I drove by the front gate yesterday afternoon and were shocked to find no sign at all of Demetrius, alas.

So, Minnesota opens this coming weekend - would be like 27 days?

And with the "Demetrius" calendar, how many days will surpass until we meet with the Baron and Baroness and the rest of the Non-Tourage?

(I did get a new astrolabe at Bristol, maybe that could help? :) )

You'll have to get that answer from Master Demetrius a the math involved seems to be rathrer .... esoteric.

I wonder if Demetrius and Jules together, with their unique rennie math skills would create an eddy in the space-time continuum where it was always Faire? Hrmm...things to ponder!
