Today, the merry men and women of Sherwood Forest carried the banner of the
faire through the streets of Bastrop, with a First Place Blue Ribbon attached to
the front of it.
This was a first for us, and to our surprise, our centaur won a another first
place blue ribbon on his own, in some other category, maybe something like
weirdest critter in the parade.
All in all, it was a great time, we shook hands with the High Sheriff once
again, we waved to the kids, we passed out literature, we had drumming and
music, and we were delighted to find a Budweiser truck at the parade's end where
we were treated to a round of light beers.
About 20 of us then walked to a local hangout called Ramos where we downed a few
margaritas, some ice tea and some tasty nachos and enchiladas.
All in all, thanks to everyone who contributed to another great show!
