Boobs Rule! Let's help keep them healthy!!!
Only at a Ren Faire (or on a Ren Forum) can you get away with a statement like that. ;)
Jon.
True enough Jon, true enough. :D
Although, on FaceBook my friend celebrates Yay For Boobies Friday. Because why? Because yet once again, boobs rule!
"Give me the good old days when a pair of boobs was a couple of dumb guys!"
Who can name that movie? ;D
Calling all female Pirates and Wenches for this weekend's "Drench a Wench" charity show on the castle lawn!!
Be ye a willin participant? Please!!
We be needin water bearers, sponge wringers & runners, hawkers and 'targets'
Meet us at 2pm on the Castle Lawn outside of HRM Castle – next to the castle garden I assume and very close to our beloved courtesans.
Definitions:
Water bearers – fill the buckets via the spigot and bring them to us
Sponge Wringers – wring the sponges
Sponge Runners – retrieve the sponges once they've been thrown at the targets
Hawkers – announce the show and attempt to give us an audience and potential contributors without detracting from other performances
Targets – sit on a bench, wait to get hit with a sponge and then thank the contributor
FYI on Targets:
Targets need to be in appropriate garb - defined as viable 600- 1600 renaissance themed garb with a top covering, bottom covering, shoes, and appropriate undergarments.
Note white chemises must be covered with vest, jacket, bodice, etc. – this is not a wet t-shirt contest.
Targets must be 18 and older and have lipstick.
General FYI:
Those under 18 or those not able or willing to get wet can be water bearers, sponge wringers, sponge runner, & hawkers
How it works:
Lasses to line up as luverly 'targets' while contributors donate $1 to receive 3 sponges to throw at the aforementioned targets.
Whomever is hit by sponges approach the contributor and render a "thank you" gesture in the form of a kiss (this is where the lipstick comes in)on the cheek, handshake, or hug.
Targets arrive at 2pm
Contributors arrive at 2:15pm
Paladin by the way it was Smokey and the Bandit 3
As always, if I'm around, I'll add my voice to the hawking. Ha! It's my day for play, so I'll even be in the duck this weekend.
Totals for the weekend:
Soggy Saturday $200.00
Shiny Sunday $189.75
Huzzah to all that helped and hollared - I have no voice left today but it was well worth it luvs.
My voice is gone as well, but I will add a typed: Hip, Hip, Huzzah!
Thanks to all who tossed the sponges and the lovely, lovely targets!!!
