I really need to convice the hubby to watch the girls and let me go to Fest this weekend and next. I ALWAYS go on closing day, I HAVE to go next Sunday (but I really want to go this Sunday, too!)
Mmmm... Good tent-snuggling weather at nite. Good drinking weather during the day!
We have hot classic mead at the cottage and the booth near Queen's Apples/Treetop Theatre and will likely have warm Egypt'n at the tent near Bad Manor. If we run low, we switch to Raspberry.
YUM!
WOOT my fingers won't fall off this weekend either!

Wait! What? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! *shiver*
Honestly if I had to pick between dry and cooler and rain and warmer I'd pick dry. The guest enjoy themselves and stay longer when it is dry.

Dry and cool- HECK YEAH!!!!!! =D
Saturday forecast calls for 60% chance of rain, high of 58. With the rains since Wednesday, things will be very sloshy. Plenty of mud on the shoes and garb.
Sunday calls for mostly sunny in the afternoon, with anhigh of 62.
Make sure to bring your Wellies, kids! :-\
Sounds like it is time to break out the old shoes.
Yeah, I may need to bring a plan B for garb, just in case it's MudFest 2010 out there.
Down here in Rochester, we have had 6" of rain already. More on the way through Saturday. There are FLOOD watches here in then City and low lying areas throughout Olmsted and other counties.
Thank goodness we had Flood Control done. After the massive flood of July 1978 we had here, we have been lucky in controlling the Zumbro River and the creeks.
I'm just really hoping closing day looks good. We're not up for such a long day and trip this weekend, but we're really hoping to make closing day.
I vote that the rains stop so I can drive onto site Saturday morning to drop off product!
The only weekend we're going to miss this year is this weekend.... Humm... I do hate to miss Faire, but...
<crossing fingers for extra super nice weather next weekend fer sure!>
Highway 41 may be closed Sunday due to flooding

Don't worry about fest site itself, it may be muddy, but it's high enough not to worry about the flooding from the river.

Well that will make it fun going home on Sun. :-\
I wonder if the river is over the bridge south of Chaska? I saw the water was really high last weekend, before we had all this rain today.
Make sure you check out http://www.dot.state.mn.us/ (//http://://www.dot.state.mn.us/) before you drive anywhere. We don't want anyone stuck or later than they'd like to be :) safe travels all

Let's hope the pit can drain as well this year as last.
Was out to schlepp product out around 10 am this morning. Hwy 41 south of Chaska was still open. Looked like at the low point in the road the water would have to rise another 10 feet to affect the road.
I have a feeling that any flooding will be at it's worst tomorrow......
you guys need a break in all that rain! I'd say send it this way but according to the news it's coming. Minnesota and Wisconsin are making the news, even down here in Charlotte, NC. Praying for all those effected by the flooding.
Been windy but no rain all day so things are drying, might actually be able to drive on in the morning. Been sunny in my neighborhood for the last couple hours.
Another source to watch for info

As long as we're not hip deep in mud, I'll be happy.
some online sites say HWY 41 south of Chaska was closed on Thurs. R called 511 for an update on Fri. and they said it was not closed. Channel 5 news said it *may* close anytime in the next 6 days. ???
Certainly was not closed yesterday morning, if it was I'm drifting down the river and replying from the "other side".
Looks to be a decent day Sunday.
Sunny
Temperature:
High 66°
O% chance of rain.
We shall be there.
Anyone else experience the clear skies, bright moon, and THICK fog Saturday nite? I had to priv @ 0230 and it was surreal. Like out of a Resident Evil movie. I half expected some zombies to slough around the corner.
