I have two specific examples:
Seeing my daughter get up on stage to perform for the first time. I was so proud, that I got weepy. (Shut up.)
She was so confident on stage, eventhough, I know she was so nervous; I should have given her a shot of whiskey beforehand.
The other one was this last weekend. We had a cutie pie in our shop who was around four. She was waiting while her Mom tried on a pair of shoes, and she was just so excited about everything at Fest. I love that. I wish we could bottle that enthusiasm. I was so glad to see her excitement, that I ended up giving her a butterfly wand I acquired earlier that day.
I have to say this entire year was magical for me. I had lost my Fest Spirit the past few years. I found it again at Willing Soles.
Love you guys.
Well Kate, I got giddy when your girl-child got up on stage closing day! =) I totally understand where the weepies would come from!
I was blown away watching my sister on cast. You people have NO idea what a HUGE change this is for her! She has grown into this crazy, outgoing, funny, confident person and I know that we really have some of you to thank for it. (Egging her on, feeding into her naughty side...) I am so proud of her for being able to do this and do it so well. =D
Lady Fae you make me weepy! Thank you! :D
Hmmm... oh dear, so many...
I guess I would have to pick between being tackle/hugged by a group of no less than 5 little girls... dear god where they cute, I know I was lost in what must have seemed like a pile of love right then, Sir Cades gift, Playing Hide and Seek with Thistle, Firrari's Flower, and having the line "your my favorite fairy" whispered in my ear by a 4 year old boy whose name i never learned.
But I hope that at least some on the forum got to meet Sir Cade as well. He was just the most lovable little boy. He was the one that recited poetry at the king and queens wedding.
Best moment of the year:
Found a storm trooper on the last day. Walked up to him and said
me: "hey, where's the rest of your troop...oh, that's right, they blew up.."
ST: "too soon, man, too soon!"
Started walking away, and quickly turned around and told Ryan to take out his phone, as did I.
Went back up to the storm trooper, and had my last little jab at him
me: "Wait, don't go...I just realized something! * we hold up phones* "are these the droids you're looking for?"
ST: *lowers and shakes head* "Oh...OH MY GOD.. *walks away dumbfounded*

Heehee! That is just too awesome! =D
DB, you are all kinds of awesome!
Favorite memories: Mourning the king's marriage not once, not twice but three times! (The last time was in "peasant" dress in front of my shop.)
Giving Thistle one of my old My Little Pony's (which nearly had me crying) and seeing how excited she got over that.
Peasant bathing with the fountain shop.
All of the times I got to run out of my shop yelling "Doctor" and knowing that there were tons of patrons looking at me very confused.
Showing up "naked" for a day (ah, the look on everyone's faces!)
Yes, there are more details to all of these but it's late and I'm done for the day. Wanted to share a few while I was thinking about them.
Oh, and there was that perfect moment on the final morning when Jack and Mark walked out of that bar... ;)
1) Meeting the original fops and getting to stumble the grounds with them in High heels! lol
2) Sitting in the Vil Tennis Net as a fop heheheheh
3)Working for Mug O The Woods and hold up our wood sign...that looks like...well...umm just go by the booth next year and ask to see our wood sign...
anyways...getting to hold up the sign and watch peoples faces...priceless for most of them.
3) Working for MOTW and getting to talk about my wood all day :D lol

I enjoyed watching you try to figure out the best way to sit down and not get your fantastic, clean, WHITE legged self too dirty! I have to tell you, that was one GREAT looking section of "net!" =D
I finally made it to MNRF the second to the last weekend (we had a family emergency before that, that pushed all other thoughts out of my head.)
My favorite memory, to the extent I could enjoy, was people watching and seeing how very many were dressed up! Other than that, I did enjoy going into the jewelry places and bought a sterling silver ear cuff. Oh, and I also sat through one of The Danger Committees shows. Thats always fun.
Capt. Bacardi standing on his bench hawking at Foaming and the parade goes by. The parade split to walk on both side of the tree he stands by and he yells to me, " Hey! Look, I'm in a parade!
Nick owner of LaVigne Leather:
*in his best Sean Connery impersonation*
"Steven, did I tell you I lost my superpower?"
FFFFFFRRRRRRRRRTTT!
*looks at Steve thoughtfully*
"It seems I was mistaken!"

I can vouch for his former condition. He used to clear rooms. (my poor, patient Aunt..) :P
Another magical moment is Uncle Nick telling me the poop story, and then later finding photographic evidence of the drunken patron's adventures in the privy in Mer's photo album on FB.
Nick now has said picture, framed as a momento.

I love Nick. He makes my day.
Dressing like a FOP, being out there with just MAtt and I (it's so fun just son and daddy time), but I think the most fun for me this year is when a friend showed up that I work with with her son and I strolled around with them being their personal escort and photographer catching all the fun moments for him. He had a blast and that is always the best to see a youngin smilin and havin fun.
This was my best year of Fest ever! I have a lot of great memories!....
1st, and foremost, I was happy that I could get around and go anywhere I wanted to out there this year. Hobbling around on my bum knee last year made fest miserable for me! It was so nice to get around normally out there again!...
The Foaming Stein....Starting ever day with breakfast beer and the crew of the stein was great! Always got the day off to a good start!...
Willins....What can I say about the crew at Willins! Always a fun time and a bunch of laughs there. Jack as the good Dr. cracked me up and Kate always seemed to have a little something to share! I won't forget her jello or pudding shots! They were awesome! I think I got more drunk there then I did anywhere else!
Fest Friends....Whenever we needed to get off out feet for a while there was always Fest Friends. It was a great place to relax for a bit. I had a lot of fun just kicking back there and bs'ing with some people that I really never even knew until this year.
The Larsons....Our neighbors. Those brave souls came out with us not once, but twice! They also started to buy some garb on the last day and I think we will see them out there in it next year! It was a blast hanging out with them! Especially when Brent learned the hard way never to volunteer to be in a Washing Well Wenches show. Seeing him running around in his "man pants" had to be the funniest thing I have seen at faire in a long time!
Other random memories include....
Walking by Kim and not recognizing her in her long curly blond hair and Venetian gown ....
Hanging with Jib and the good captain for a bit at Mayfaire Art...Watching Jib take over the shop while Delayne stepped out for a bit was a riot!....
Hanging with Sleepy is always a good time! I love wandering around faire with him, especially when he is Lord Fondlebottom!.....
George fondling the instrument at the Stein is bound to leave scars too!...Him and that Guiness harp are a match made in heaven!...LoL
Yup....lots of great times out there this you! Thank you everyone for them!.....Can't wait until next year!....
I have another one.
Renaissance Jesus picking out ringtones for his phone, and selecting Monty Python's "Sit on my Face". Of course he started to sing along, and then the rest of the guys in the shop sang along too. I haven't giggled that hard in ages.
Well speaking of "RJ", there was that cold morning I needed a "fortification" shot. I poured a ration of "Celtic" in my mug and filled the rest with what I thought was just "Apple Cider" (that's what it said on the jug). Seriously did not know...until about 1/2 the way down the mug when I saw God!

Hehe, yeah, that was classic!

LOL! Apple Pie! Seriously the first time I had that i was drinking it out of my jack and thought it was mulled cider. Had to stay late that day to sober up.
Toar,
I only had a sip, and that was enough for me. :o I thought Frost's Johnnie Jump Up was potent.
LOL I KNEW I didn't drink that much of it Saturday night. Love it
Mags,
We are all going to just have to save up for the rest of the year just to cover the booze we collectively drink, sample or give away.
Save up money, booze, or build tolerance?
I have many great memories from this season, but have to share my favorite.
Getting to know some new great friends was probably the highlight. :) They know who they are and why they are special to me. I can't wait to get to know them more outside of fest and next season.
Threatening the child with the quarry was always a great time, as was the big pink sign I made her for the last weekend of vil.
Fest friends was great and nice home base. I got to know many new people and really extend my fest family.
Willing Soles...... Shoes, Speakeasy, and Massage parlor.... enough said :)
I have another one.
Doing the wave at the last Vil Ten "Let's-get-fired-show."
Everyone, including the Judge, players etc. participated.
I guess you had to be there... ;)
We did the wave at final gate too! Thought it was original! LOL!
Ok, I just thought of another. Dreggy will appreciate this too.
Majikboxman was chatting with Dreg out in lane in front our shop. This dane walks by with his dog on a leash, and the dog is sniffing-as dogs do. The dog decides to stick his nose under MJBM's kilt-all of the way up.
I am still crying from laughing so hard on this.
I guess you had to be there. The look on Majikboxman's face was priceless.
Reason #63,827 I will never wear a kilt... :D

Fraidy cat! You just know you look great in tights.
If a man looks good in tights there is no need for him to wear a kilt....... ;D

God that was funny!
OK this is not my faire but my best friends are here and I'll have you know I have my hands over my mouth and trying to keep my hands off the keyboard because I am REALLY fighting a wenchmouth here!
Go ahead and say it. MJBM has an awesome sense of humor.
*MMFFFF! MMMMFFFF!*

will consider....but still like seeing a man's a** in tights ;D ;)

The voice of reason! ;D ;)
Ok, the thing that is missing here, is that any man that looks fantabulous in tights, will be twice as sexomous in a kilt. Just think, all the things that are normally *in* tights, are now *free* of tights.
Before we get thrown to John's Inn, and to keep on topic...the MNRF Feast was the first Feast event we'd ever been too and really had a blast. Oh, and there were many kilts there too. See, it ALL fits together, honest!
And more faires need at Vil Tennis event, that was outstanding! We need to come back next year to copmlete our card collection!
I have to agree, Lady Kett. Vil Ten is awesome. But I am biased. ;)
