Hello! I will be attending the Lady of the Lakes Faire for the first time this year. Friday is a day for everyone, not just students and seniors, right?
Anyone else going?
I'll be around on Saturday to catch up with some friends from the circuit since it's the first FL faire of the season, but for the first time I won't be working it this year. It's an...odd...sort of feeling, but time just isn't allowing for more involvement this year.
Probably just Saturday for me... if I go at all. It is the weekend before St. Arg -- for which I've been saving all my money!
I plan to be there all three days, Lady Rebecca.
Friday is open to everyone. The morning and early afternoon scheduling is geared toward the school field trips which usually end by 2pm. The rest of the day will be much like any other faire day. I usually don't try to be at faire before noon on Friday.
In years past, I've been on grounds from gate til cannon on Saturday and Sunday. I don't expect much to change this year.
I'll be there! Hubby and I will be out as 'working playtrons'. Good way to start off Festival season here in FL, and this'll be the husband's first FL Faire since 2003.
:o Two more weeks. :o So who is coming to Lady of The Lake?
Me! And four or five of my theatre friends with me. At least one of whom is a Ren virgin, so I hope he likes it! We will be there on Friday. I hope I finish my new garb in time!
I hope to be out Sunday, possibly in Court garb
Aw, crud!
I have to be out of town Friday and Saturday. And of all places, I have to go to Detroit.
Oh well, we all have to take the good with the bad. Work took me to Texas in time for Rendezvous, and I just got back from a work-related trip to Thailand, but it's also keeping me away from Lady of the Lakes. I think I can live with that.
But now what am I going to do for my faire fix?
We'll miss you at LotL, Iain, but faire fix opportunities abound in November.
Sarasota Medieval Faire is Nov 13/14 & 20/21
Camelot Days (Hollywood) is Nov 13/14
If you've got an interest in pyrating, St Arrrgustine is Nov 13/14

Well, now, tharrrrr's an idea ...
I've never been to any of those. I guess it's time to remedy that.
I also think I'll see if my wife would want to run to LOTL Sunday after church, since I get back into town Saturday night. Sounds like a few folks will be out Sunday at least, and it's not such a large fair that I'd miss a lot coming out for the afternoon alone.
But I think she'll want me to finish unpacking from my last trip first. (Packing is a lot more fun than unpacking, I find.)
St. Arg is a blast!
How is the Sarasota faire? I was thinking of checking that one out, but it's a long drive...

I was wondering that as well, and thinking that too. Perhaps, if it sounds promising, you could carpool with my wife and I. We live just north of Orlando. We're thinking about the second weekend.
It's the 2nd weekend I'm planning on, too, since my parents will be here the 1st. I live right near Sea World.
Okay.. so.. I am getting excited to head up to Lady of the Lakes on Saturday. The weather is suppose to be beautiful.
I hear up there a high of 68. Love it!
See you all there!!
I'm excited too! Can't wait for a day at faire!
Yeah, weather for this weekend looks pretty much perfect!
So out of curiosity, any chance this faire has flushies?
Actually, YES! There is a row of port-a-privies along one side, but because it is located at a recreational park there is a building with about 3-4 stalls per restroom! AND there is shade!
Yay, how exciting! And is there a truck-stop type bathroom nearby that can be used for changing into garb, or should I make the hour drive in the corset?
Haha, we ALL usually get dressed in the parking lot! I never travel in corset! We'll do a meet & greet around 9ish in the parking lot. Bring champagne and breakfast! :-P
There will, of course, be someone to corset you!
We will be there on Sunday. I hope meet a few more R/Fers while wondering the grounds of our fine Faire.
How about a rollcall???

Sorry, hafta work!
Speaking of Saturday.... are we doing a mini tailgate? I know it is a heck of a drive up there, but are we at least doing mimosas in the parking lot beforehand? :)
Kate, you know I am in with a tailgate. So what time should we meet?
Treeman will be there..
Should I bring my breakfast burritos? Or maybe bagels and cream cheese?
Let me know. Text me about it. or call me later.
And yes. We always lace each other up before heading in! I haven't been to LOTL for a couple of years.
Will be nice.
I don't think we should go TOO overboard since it is a smaller faire and we don't know who'll be there, but I'll bring some OJ and tell the Tree to bring some bubbly! I'm always up for your breakfast burritos, especially the sausage gravy ones... :)
Lady Rebecca, I'll be there Friday afternoon. Leinad and I will be there Saturday and Sunday.

I texted him. He said he'd being OJ too! SCORE!
Okay!! That's funny.. cuz I had just told him you were bringing it.. LOL!!! But good.
High of 65 tomorrow, but looking at hour-by-hour it may be cooler! Huzzah for PERFECT faire temps!
For those attending who are M'Cracks:
We will eb having a cheiftain's toast at 3 PM. Location TBA in the morning!

Lady of the Lakes ended up being a wonderful day. The weather could not have been better. Was good to see everyone (well a lot of you) again. I had a wonderful surprise bestowed upon me and am honored! Love you all.

Yes, it was a gorgeous weekend. I am a bit more pink than I thought I would get, but at least it will turn into a nice tan for this winter season. And it was so nice to see everyone! However, I'm itching for BARF more than ever now!
