Title: Camping at Scarborough
Post by: Rick.The.Scottsman on November 10, 2010, 01:59:11 PM
Greetings, My friends and I have been going to TRF for a while now and a few of us wanted to check out Scarborough. We were wandering how the camping and night life was as compared to TRF. 2 of us are Fire breathers and enjoy the after party a bit too much. lol

Kind of just wanting a general comparison to TRF to see if it is worth going or not.

Thanks and Hazaa!!

No camping at Scarby, unless you want to drive.  There is a campground, Lake Bardwell I believe it is, but it's a good 20+ minute drive.  I've never camped there, so I can't tell you about it.  There are lots of hotels near and not so near to Scarby which is where a lot of out-of-towners stay.

Your night life it what you make of it in this case.

last year camping was allowed for playtrons was 2005

We stay At Lake Bardwell the last 5 years

there are three different parks,   and yes it is a minimum of 20 minute drive.

but you can stop in Waxahacie at the pub on college street and eat

we stay at waxahacie Creek, in the pull through spots.

there is a group from Louisanna that stays there also.

real quiet no drama,  it is a corp of engineer park

If some one knows of another camp ground please post it here

if you want the party and night life stay at the super 8 on I 35 and enjoy the party by the pool that night
