Ugh. The YT trailer was taken down, but I just watched the one on Apple's (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/universal/yourhighness/) site.
Now on my list to see! Looks like great fun!

LMAO. I will so be seeing this one. The Restricted trailer is hilarious!
Thanks, Universal yanked the youtube vid (and probably any others) off the net for copyright reasons...

Ok, We just got back from seeing the movie....My opinion?
Man, I really wanted to like this movie, but for me it was hard to watch.
Nooooooo!!! Oh, please... say it isn't so!!! :'(
I will let you all make your own opinions about it. Should make for an interesting discussion.
Note: Most of the the trailer was edited out of sequence, which probabley explains why it was funny.
Grr, I havent seen it yet but I had a feeling it might end up being one of those movies where the only funny parts are in the trailer. I shall have to wait for it to come to our dollar movies. (Damn college.)
As a single parent, I almost always wait for things to go to the dollar movies... :-\
OK.. Saw it on Friday night. Absolutly zero Renaissance merit what so ever BUT.. absofrickinlutely hysterical. It is an old school "burn one" and laugh till you wet yourself. Completely stupid to the bone, but you will be spitting the one liners for a week. Natalie Portman is great and yes, it has a happy ending. It is a total groaner, but teen aged boys will think it is fantastic.
I saw the trailer with Portman about to dive into the lake... the old-aged boys will like it too—at least that part.
Yes sir. She is a real action hero for all kinds of action. You will love the ending if you like you some Natalie!
I'll throw my two cents worth in and try not to rain on anyone's hopes...it is after all only my opinion.
The visuals were stunning....what's not to like with views of Northern Ireland and Ms. Portman. Beyond that, the movie was something of a yawner and dissapointment for me and my lady. She hears that kind of sophomoric joking all day every day as a High School teacher, and it's not really my cup o' tea either; but can be funny in measured amounts.
For some it will be funny, and you will have to take it on it's own merits in that vein. If you like a constant barrage of vulgar humor for 1-1/2 solid hours, then by all means give it a shot - especially on dollar day. ;)

She was very good but she couldn't carry the movie-The previously unknown actor who played Courtney (Rasmus Hardiker) was an unexpected pleasure.
I like me some vulgar humor just as much as the next guy, but most of the jokes were just not funny.
I see your point exactly and like I said.. you have to be prepared and expecting that kind of humor. Perhaps it was the fact that i was with my husband who found it so hystical! Mayhaps I was laughing just as much at him as the movie? could be!
Well having seen the trailer, and watched most of the same cast in David Green's stoner comedy Pineapple Express, I got pretty much what I was expecting. I saw it over a beer lunch at the Alamo Drafthouse, and found it quite funny. To be honest though, I kind of thought it could have been a little raunchier ::)
Went and saw it with my wife and some friends last night. I enjoyed it, it made my friends and I think of our D&D sessions :).
As for it being raunchier, well they have to save something for the unedited DVD/Blu-ray release. :)

It's Danny McBride, people. You should know what kind of humor it's going to be going in. I thought it was a riot. Several eww moments, lots of dumb jokes, and a tasteful quantity of Portman flesh.
Your Highness came out on DVD today. I watched the gag reel and the making of the movie sections first. They made the point that it was not a comedy with action but an action movie with comedy. Loved the sets, locations, costumes, production values. The raunch factor was a bit over the top. If they deleted the F-word, they would have lost about a 1/4 of the dialog. I watched the theatrical version... I'm not sure if I want to find out how raunchy the UNRATED version is.
PS- I forgot to mention that this DVD has a really objectionable feature... you have to play over 10 minutes of advertisments and previews before you get to the movie proper. It won't let you jump forward to the movie.
I watched it on blue ray today and was able to get right to the unrated movie with just a few clicks. My own opinion is that this was a good movie but it could have been oh so much better. I haven't sen any of the deleted stuff or any of the extras yet. Saving that for tomorrow.
My boyfriend recommended this movie to me. He found it funny, so I gave it a watch tonight and found that I enjoyed it quite a bit!
