Ok so I been Googling my fingers off and so far have found some things I like and will be adding to my newly formed Pirate Persona, but I was wondering if anyone had a fave place to get their gear? Figured I'd ask the experts! Thanks!!
Alaways happy to help a fellow pirate ! :)
I like " Tobeapirate.com" . They have nice stuff. I also like " RealmCollections.com ". Just ordered a new pirate shirt and vest from them for this year ! I have a very nice Captains frock coat from " Wolfstone Kilt Company ." I know they have a website.
Hope this helps mate !
You may also want to check out Raven's Wood Leather. Lots of cool stuff to be had there as well. ;)

One of my all time favorite sites is: http://www.bilgemunky.com. In it he's got reviews & links for his favorite pirate garb, hats, jewelry, rum, music, movies, etc. I also highly recommend his podcasts: bilgemunky (clean) and bilgemunky after dark (filthy dirty) for fun pirate-y music.
Wolfstone Kilt Company (http://www.potomacleather.com) ;D
I really don't know where to begin.... :o
Don't fall into the trap of "I have to go to a pirate store to get pirate things". Since pirates were virtually indistinguishable from any other sailor, focus on getting nautical attire of the era. Once you have a decent basic kit (depending on station, nationality, etc), you can push it whichever direction you want. More authentic, more Hollywood, whatever. As with anything else in life, it's not so much what you have, but what you do with it. :D
That being said, here are some fine sources:
Jas. Townsend and Sons (sutler) - http://www.jas-townsend.com/index.php
Reconstruction History (historical patterns) - http://www.reconstructinghistory.com
Dorsett House (leather works) - http://www.dorsetthouse.com
http://www.bilgemunky.com has a ton of links to great suppliers as well.
Ever tried "deadmen tell no tales"? I don't know the url but you get a song when you link up!

I think that's the best advice I've gotten so far, Mad Jack. Thanks a lot! About the only thing I really have figured out so far is weapons. Even though my faire will be allowing weapons this year (for the 1st time) I'm going with shootin' irons! I just ordered a pistol and a blunderbuss. I have a basic picture in my head so I'm little by little piecing it together.
THe only thing you absolutly need are weapons and religious medals. Remeber, pirates are a superstious lot and would carry several religous medals, crosses, and other bits of ju-ju to protect themselves from bad luck at sea.
Oooo here's mine!
Pyrate Trading Co. formerly known as Pyrate Leatherworks

Everytime I go to faire I just HAVE to go touch all the hats! (OK and bug Clay a bit - it's that one blue eye thing that does it!)
My Evil Twin Sister loves Excalibur Leather for her pirate hats! She is up to 3 now.
Renshirts has cute pirate bloomers and sleevless cotton shirts! Hot here in TX!
So...Here they are!!!
My very first "Pirates Best Friends"!!!

Unfortunately, the Blunderbuss on the bottom wasn't the one I ordered (they were out of stock), but ya gotta make do, right? Besides, I found this AWESOME pistol baldric that holds, like, SIX of 'em AND a sword!!! Like, OMG!! Can you say RAIDING PARTY!!!!!! (WOW! Who knew Pirates and teenage girls sounded so much alike??)
Yarr! and Yo Ho!
I love the six pistol baldric - good job. You might want to add a boarding axe, a dozen apostles (small wooden bottles that held a charge of power - bottle shaped, could easily be turned on a lathe) and fid, a large wooden sharp peg that was used to untangle rope, but made a heck of a weapon - Sao Feng in POTC III threatened Will w/one, if you saw that movie. Again, something that could be made easily.

For customer service and quality I love The Odd Bodkin. Captain Liam owns The Pirates Cove at TRF, and they are also present at several other faires around the country.
