We are thinking we should have one more Gathering before faire starts on Feb 19th.
We would start the day around 10am with a volunteer work day to get the grounds tip top shape. Last Gathering was wonderful. Folk weeded around the stages, raked, etc. The workday would be similar type activities.
Then, at 5pm, we would, as usual, meet at the Seven Sisters for a pot luck and merriment until the wee hours of the night.
The faire grounds proper would be closed to all autos. Parking would be in camping or the parking lot.
Lets hear if any of yall would be interested in joining us for one last hurrah before faire opens for its second year.
and Happy Holidays!!!

I say Huzzah to that idea! YAYYY!
I missed the last gathering due to being in the Elgin Parade. Hope I can find a ride too.It gets dark so early now!
I may be able to actually make it to a gathering on the 15th, since I will have the following Monday off. I would love to be able to join everyone and help out. :)
Sounds good to me.

If you are coming out to help in the Faire area, please send an email to volunteers@sherwoodforestfaire.com. Chameleon is the volunteer coordinator and will maintain the master list of what work is needed to be done.
Next on the sherwood calendar...January 15th gathering.
Day will begin at 9am as a morning of volunteering.
Focus will be getting the grounds pretty. Picking up sticks and weedeating.
We will have a Potluck at 5pm. Soft drinks, water and ale provided by faire.
Then, we will relax around the seven sisters until the wee hours ...commuting around the fire.
Seeking drummers, dancers, fire twirling, fire blowing, guitarist, and folk who know how to howl at the moon.
No driving on the grounds.
Camp grounds will open Friday, Jan 14th at noon....and close Sunday afternoon at 3pm.
Plan to attend the last gathering before faire.
I may just have to become a Texan in order to take advantage of all these gatherings!
Merlin, the Elder,
When you visit Sherwood, you will find that it is alive, bidding welcome to all who walk its grounds.
