Title: Traveling to San Antonio next week- suggestions?
Post by: Tipsy Gypsy on February 09, 2011, 01:56:48 PM
I'll be attending a conference next week near the San Antonio Riverwalk, and looking for something to do in the evenings. I would loveloveLOVE! to find a restaurant or nightclub in the vicinity that has good food and bellydancing. Any S.A. natives/frequent travelers here who might know about such a place?

(The last time I was in S.A., 3 years ago, I found a tiny little jazz club there that had a dancer; unfortunately, she was done for the evening, already. I can't find any reference to it now, and the place may not even be open any more. I think maybe we stumbled across Hipster Brigadoon *sigh*...)

You should message Teach and ask.  He and Lady Trinn are in that general vicinity, and should have some ideas about what's good.

It's a little tough to dance on peanut shells, isn't it?  ;D

Particularly so for barefoot bellydancers, I would think! :o

Well, Dolores Del Rio used to have dancers, but they closed about a month before I got there, and a friend I was going to meet with at a Greek restaurant had to cancel. :( Oh well, wasn't to be, I guess! I still had a good time just wandering the Riverwalk, though. Thanks for the suggestions, nevertheless!
