Title: area lodging
Post by: Tink on April 07, 2011, 11:40:36 PM
OK, so Pan and I didnt plan very well for this weekend, and we are looking for a place to stay at the last minute.  I know the Super 8 and Days Inn Red Oak are both booked full.  Does anyone know much about the other places in the area?  We are looking at the Knights Inn or the Americas Best Inn (because theyre the cheapest) but both have gotten some pretty bad reviews.  Any advice?  (we really want to keep the price under $65/night for Friday and Saturday night if at all possible)

nevermind, went ahead and booked a room at Americas Best Value Inn.  On the plus side, it shares a parking lot with the Super 8, so at least we will be near the rest of you rennies :D

For in the future, my mom used either hotels.com or expedia, and found several hotels in the area for about 60$ a night. Glad you found one!!

For future reference, I have also found that if you can't find a room online @ Super 8, sometimes they have a room or late cancellation that you can get.

Other hotels may have similar options.
