I will be attending the festival this year and was wondering...where does everyone stay? Is there a camp ground nearby? Would like to make a weekend of it and stay in a hotel or campsite with other rennies!

Welcome, welcome, lolanorwood!
When will you be coming?
There is a KOA campground approximately 2 miles from the festival site. It is usually well populated with rennies.
Should you prefer a motel, there are several in Castle Rock, which is approximately 10 miles North of Larkspurshire. All the info you could want can be found here: http://www.renaissancefestival.com/forums/index.php?topic=14551.0
Should you have any other questions, someone on this forum will surely have the answer.

Aye, the Baron speaks true!
Although technically ('cause I'm a nitpicker) the campground is now a Jellystone, not a KOA. Still a very nice little site. I've stayed there upon multiple occasions. It's usually got ren-enthusiast types wandering about and such. More on some days than others, but that's just sort of luck-of-the-draw.
And yeah, Castle Rock isn't far at all. Practically right down the street (well, street here having the meaning of highway). Anyway, it's quite close.
Id take a real bed in Castle Rock over a bed roll at the camp grounds lol.
Any way the hotels in Castle Rock are pretty much all over the board from a Super 8 to a place that is nothing but suites ( I cnt rememer the name at the moment. I need more coffee :-) )
The campground has teepees that you rent and sleep in. My wife and I try to that once a year. It's well worth it, especially since there are always rennies there! It's a good time.

That's not very period, thought! ;D Unlike my Renaissance teepee...
Haha, nice. I always kinda' wanted to stay in one of their teepees. They also have cabins and yurts.

Yurts? Given the fact that I'm a Scottish Highland reenactor, that actually would be appropriate for me! I didn't know they had those. I may have to look into one this coming year.
I stay in my own little bed
I'll be staying at the Castle Rock Comfort Inn
All I can say is you better not come into my room and jump on the bed to get me up in the morning!
You wish !
