Title: Unusual Request
Post by: lilaney on May 04, 2011, 06:39:27 PM
Hello Faire Family!
I had an interesting request.

We are in pre-production for a zero-budget trailer we are hoping to shoot and I need information.

Primarily, I need:

1. A wooded location that would allow us to draw live steel
2. A wooded location that would allow us to film
3. A wooded location that would allow us to host a campfire

It can be within the DFW area, or a little out of the way (but, not farther than the main 12 counties that make up the DFW area)
-State Parks are fine, if you have a contact number I can get in touch with them
-City Parks are fine, same thing.. need a contact number
-Private Property is fine, as long as we know the owner and the owner is fine with the above 3 requests.

You can reply here, or PM me.
Like I said this is a zero-budget, with the hopes of the trailer being picked up at a later time for full production of the entire Film.

Thank you!

As I understand it, most of Texas is under a no-burn order. In order to get around that, it may be necessary to have a fire department on hand (and a waiver). That could be a problem right now, and likely not a no-cost item! Come up to central Arkansas. We've had so much rain, you'll have to bring some dry wood with you.

Tanglewood Forest  Popularity:
Details:
Camping and event site near Corsicana, TX dedicated to recreational camping and Live Action Roleplaying games. Managed and maintained by members of Amtgard.

But most of Texas is still under a burn ban, You would have to check with Navarro County.

I can ask my dad about using the property, there is some wooded area, he wouldn't mind steel... But it's in Bonham.

Email me about timeframe.
