Due to attendance problems, Clan Defiance has relinquished their reserved clan camping area. The area is large enough to support 15-20 people (7-10 tents) camping, along with vehicle parking. The area will need a bit more clearing for camping and parking.
So, if you have a group committed to attending most of the Faire season and willing to clear and maintain the area, come see me at 9AM on Saturday July 2nd by the campgrounds security booth. I will be there before that time and will form a list based on the position in line (e.g., first gets #1 on the waiting list, etc.). At 9AM, I will brief all the new groups on the rules of having a reserved camping area. After that I will walk all the folks through the available areas. After that (around 9:30 AM), #1 on the list gets to stake their claim. Once they have set up their boundary tape, #2 gets to stake a claim, and so on until all the waiting groups stake claims or we run out of available space (highly unlikely).
So, get together with all the folks you would like to camp with, form a clan, purchase the barrier tape (3" yellow CAUTION tape works well and it's cheap), make a clan name sign, gather your implements of land clearing, and come out July 2nd. Come out and camp on Friday if you desire. That way you can enjoy the warm weather clearing your areas Saturday, Sunday, and until noon on Monday.
For the new folks, the reserved camping clans/groups can setup their tents, canopies, temp. storage, etc. and leave it there from opening weekend until closing weekend (less stuff to have to haul every weekend) (with the provision that the Faire is not responsible for any loss or damage to items left in the campgrounds
