It appears that we may have guests from several festivals joining us at Minnesota for some (or all) of the Labor Day weekend.
Lord Spicer and I will be attempting to visit with as many who plan to come. So let the conversations begin!
We stay every weekend at the Best Western in Chaska, should anyone be staying there.
A partial list of attendees tentatively includes the Baron and company from Colorado, some of the Siouxland Renaissance court/villagers, some of the Chippewa Renaissance court/villagers. Anyone else coming?
Greg and Kimberly
Lord and Lady Spicer
Oh I would so love to meet all of the visiting people from here too.
I will most likely be super busy with kids everywhere. But if you see my wings fluttering around about knee height, please come over and get a hug!
I will send everyone your way! ;)
We, too, are staying at the same inn.
The widow and hubby are staying in the connecting room to us. Party time!
That's when the Arizona contingent is visiting as well.

Do you know all who will be attending from Arizona and where they may be staying?

The thread with the details ^
I will be there from Kansas City. Alas, my son will not accompany me as he is the shoemaker at the KCRF. My wife and daughter should be there, though! Also, will be my friend Joe, his wife and daughter. Joe and his family live in Maple Grove, so we will be staying with them. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

Great to see you again, and it looks like you have a DD :D
Don't forget to bring the taxes from your son, my coffers are getting thin!
Ah yes, I will have to settle the family's tax burden with you. Do you still accept payment in alcohol?

The Baroness and I look very much forward to seeing you as well, My Lord of the Blue Hair!
Lady Spicer! The Earl of Olmsted and I might be in attendence should we get back from vacation in time.
i heard yopu had a fanstastic time in Colorado a few weeks back. That Lady deLaney was mentioning me to you when you complimented her on her gown ensemble. You know who I am by sight. Just not as Lady Kathleen of Olmsted.
Greetings everyone,
We look forward to seeing everyone Labor Day weekend and want to remind you that you can bring your 4-legged best friend to this show and if you mention that you saw us on this website we will give you 10% off your purchase. Everyone, travel safe and we shall see you soon.
Wow... looks like the weekend is shaping up for lots of visitors! Sounds as though a mixer will need to be planned... wonder where all of you think a good spot to collect us on Friday/Saturday night would be?
And yes dear Lady Kathleen, we certainly know you by sight - as well as costume! How could one miss so elegantly dressed a couple ;D

Lion's Tap? I love that place!
Lion's Tap does have delicious burgers but that's all they have. You can have a cheese burger or a regular burger but it's still only burgers. A place with a more diverse menu might be a better choice.
Now... grabbing a bite after cleaning up at the booth... yes, we did that on Sunday. ;D
And it was VERY yum!
If you went Chaska-ways, you could go to Tommy's Malt Shop (burgers, sandwiches, tasty milkshakes), or China Pagoda if you want tasty Chinese, two of my favorite stops when I'm out that way. :)

Quite a few of us are at the Best Western, right where Tommys is.
Hate to break it to all those staying at the Best Western... Tommy's is not there (according to my reservation source, and she called it the Mix). I will confirm again just to be sure. Of course, Tommy's had no alcohol.
She did mention the Ruby Tuesdays and the Perkins in Chaska just a bit north on Hwy 41 and something called the Seasons restaurant at the Oakridge Hotel.
The Mix was a different building than the one I'm thinking of. I'm thinking of the reastaurant attached to the hotel, the Mix was farther down on 41. Maybe I have the name wrong, though.
Ha - you're right! I confused my person as the Mix apparently was near the gazebo... Tommy's is still open.
Party at Tommy's!!! 7pm ish... What do you think?
There are two malt shops within a couple blocks of eachother there in "downtown" Chaska.
The first one you come to, just after crossing the bridge on 41, on the left by a hotel (heading away from Fest toward Chaska) is just called "The Malt Shop" I think.. they have A-MAZ-ING malts and burgers. (and really good sweet potato fries). haven't been to the other one that's further down on the other side of the road. I think the further one is Tommy's
Oooh, I'm liking this party idea. . .I think I'm in! :)
Actually the first one coming over the bridge on the left is part of the Best Western Hotel and that is Tommy's. If the second one you're thinking of was further down towards the gazebo and was called "The Mix", a 50s type restaurant, I was told that one closed.
My family stays at the Best Western every weekend as part of our performing as part of cast, since that is my idea of "camping" and we love to grab a bite and take it back to the room to veg after a 11-12 hour day as part of the cast.
If any of you have a desire to do parade with us this day, let me know. We're always looking for numbers to swell the court and courtiers!
Amy and I will be at the Mall of America Best Western. Figure not the same as the rest.
Loking forward to seeing the Fair for the first time.

Ahh, good to know. That's the place to go for sure. Great food, great malts.
I recommend the Italian burger & sweet potato fries. :D

The Baroness and I would LOVE to join you inn the parade.
And dear Baron, we would love to have you and your better half!
If anyone wants a Fest buddy/unofficial guide, I'll be out there on Saturday at least, if you want some help with the lay of the land. Just PM me, or feel free to stop me if you see me wandering about. :) It's good to be a ticket-holder. :)
Does anyone need tickets for the weekend? Lord Spicer and I should have some comp tickets available, or at least some low cost ones! We take donations of wine and drinks as bribes for them.
Let us know... perhaps contact me directly by post :D
Was fantastic to see everyone today! If everything works out the way I hope, might be able to make an appearance on Monday afterall! Fingers crossed!
*claps hands* Yes please, Miss Trish! Glad you and MG were able to round up B and Miss Dot.
:( I've had a miserable past few days, and I'm recovering from some of the worst sciatica spasms I've ever experienced, so I'm missing out on this entire weekend. Rats.
Butch, and Butch's friend it was lovely to meet you today. Sorry I was not exactly engaging today, the tail was dragging this afternoon. Three days are hard. I hope you both had a lovely time!! :-* :D
Save travels back to Kansas City!
It was wonderful to spend the weekend with you all, thank you all for such a warm welcome. Can't wait to do it again!!
Lord Spicer and I want to thank all of you for visiting MN! We met several new people and greeted many others! We hope you'll visit again :)
