Hey All!

The Irish Faire is happening this weekend on Harriet Island!  Anyone interested in meeting up to enjoy this event?

We are out too.  We are celebrating the Boy starting college on Saturday night.  I know it sounds silly, but if you only knew what I have gone through to get him going!   ;)

I've got a workshop all weekend that doesn't end until 6pm. :( I won't be able to make it.

Probably not...Saturday is my last free day until after Fest, since Sunday we have a 5 hour practice.... I love the Irish Fair, but this year I think I'm skipping it in favor of some down time.

Yeah, was looking forward to the Irish Fair but work is already denying my days off requests.  Not sure what I'll do if they pull this for faire too....

As long as I get my assignment, I'll be working the Gaeltacht Minnesota booth for a couple of hours.  Feel free to stop by and say hi, and I'll be up for a pint or two afterwards. And some cookies. Mmmmm, oatmeal cookies.  :D

Are you involved with Gaeltacht MN? I took a few classes with them and then had to give it up cause I was too swamped finishing my masters paper (on Irish-American identity and the Irish language, ironically), but I really enjoyed it and would like to start up again soon.

I'm currently taking Irish classes, and while it's kicking my butt, I'm really enjoying it.  Definitely think about joining in again.  :)

Returning from the Irish Faire... What a fantastic day to be out enjoying the MN summer.  Perfect weather, bit of breeze, tasty beers, yummy foods, fun shopping, great music.  Fantastic.

Super excited, bought a canvas cloth kilt today. Very cute if I do say so myself.  :D

We didn't make it up for the festival this year, but did you notice if a lot of people brought their dogs? We are thinking about doing the show next year. Also, Charlene will be having a birthday on Saturday, so please stop in and tell her Happy Birthday as I am stuck in Texas working for the man. We actually bought booth 343 this year and she can't wait to see everyone again. Have fun.  ;D

I did see a number of dogs, but as I wasn't specifically looking for them, I can't give you a better clue about the % of people who brought them. It was a fun afternoon though!

Our day ended sadly too early Saturday before I could get all my shopping in. I pulled my back again and as I laid down at the fest I couldn't get up. I almost had to have the medics come but Jen got me up-painfully. The kids had fun.
