I figured that since I do this for TRF I could do it for Sherwood as well!
For those of you that haven't posted on this list before you need to answer these questions three:
1.) What weekend of faire are you attending? (i.e. I will be out Opening day only...at this point)
2.) How many people are in your group for said weekend? (i.e., just me...and maybe the hubby)
3.) Where are you staying? (example: If I make a long weekend out of it I'll probably stay with my Grandma in Gidding but I'll come and hang out in the campground for a bit if I can.)
Working: (As I have no clue who on this forum works the faire you'll have to let me know.) =D

We are planning on Opening Weekend (Feb 11-12).
Lady Nimue and I are currently planning on bringing 3 additional people down from central Arkansas, two of which come to Scarborough with us one weekend each year for the past 10 years. The third person has only been to faire once. We took him to OkRF last year to pop his faire cherry, if you'll pardon the expression. His niece from Austin may also join us. For our guests, this will be their first visit to Sherwood.
We will be staying in Bastrop.
I'm planning on opening weekend, bringing Nicole. We'll either be staying in Bastrop again or looking for something a bit closer.
I am planning on camping out opening weekend and will have at least 1 guest with me. Maybe 2.
Daytrippin' Opening Saturday,
Gonna try to make at least 3 more, but I gotta see how the work schedule goes
As usual I only get 1 weekend so I'll be there +3 camping on March 16 - 18.
Procrastination should have a presence in our camp site every weekend. As my job is threatening to make me travel the first six months of next year, I have no idea if I'll make Sherwood or not. I will have a season pass though. So put me down for all weekends and I'll keep my fingers crossed that I actually get to make them. Lady Kitara and our Princess should be there every weekend.
Fortune permitting, I will be there every weekend, driving in Saturday morning and camping with Clan Procrastination Saturday night.
We will be attenting opening weekend.
So far it will be the PP,myself, and the fuzzlet on Saturday, and then just the PP and I on Sunday. ( Grandma has demanded she get baby time :)) We might be adding 4-8 of our friends and family on Saturday depending on how $$$ goes.
We will be staying with family while there, and driving up to faire. Due to drive time we will most likely not be heading into the camp grounds for a visit.
Can we say we are excited about seeing everyone, and fuzzlet already has a costume for faire!
****UPDATED TO HERE****
Woo Hoo - We currently dominate the board *YARRRR*
I shall answer your questions three, Lady Jessica... provided you give me cookies. LOL!
1.) My husband has requested the weekends of Opening and Closing off from work, so we are planning for those 2 weekends, provided nothing else happens.
2.) There will only be myself and my husband, unless you want to count the baby bump! LOL ;)
3.) We plan to camp with PR, if they will have us! We are a rowdy duo! J/K.
Can't wait to see everyone!

Maeven, If you do indeed bunk in with PR, be sure to come by and say howdy, we are two doors down from PR. In fact you will have to walk right past us in order to get into faire.
I didn't get a chance to meet you this year at TRF so hopefully I can say Hi at Sherwood (o:
Scally Wag and I are planning to make it down for the weekends surrounding spring break, so March 16-18 & 24-25. March 23 is Scally's birthday, as well, and we would like to invite all of you to celebrate it with us!
I presume we'll be camping with PR...
I'm planning on coming solo opening weekend to start with to Sherwood but haven't found a clan. I have had a premlinary invite to hang with PR, might that offer still be valid? -Dreamwalker
My Lovely Lady Trinn and I will be camping with PR Opening, Feb 25-26 and possibly one other. I actually get a BIRTHDAY this year so there WILL be a party for it the Saturday before Leap Day.
There will be the traditional Bachelor Party Weekend probably 24th-25th but that has yet to be finalized.
I don't know what other days we may be camping but I should be out there almost every Saturday at the least.
And yes Maeven, you are welcome to camp with PR whenever you'd like!
*The rum likes to make day trips*
I know my answers wont help your intentions for this post...which are most admirable ... but honesty prevails.
I will be coming for a weekend when the weather appears to be kilt friendly. I've never been to Sherwood so I will most likely be making the first trek alone as a re-con for future adventures. On this re-con..I will find lodging where ever it is available.
My future trips will include either the wife-unit...possible one or both of the eaters... and in the future... maybe just me and the camper, which my to teenage eaters so fondly named the "Rolling Turd" (it's a 1969 model Trailblazer)
I plan to be there. Don't know when yet. Look for me when you see me coming, I guess.
Not entirely sure how my schedule will be next Spring.
But, I'll make plans to be there at least one weekend - for Scally's Birthday Party on March 24-25, 2012.
EDIT: If I'm not On-Call at work on Opening Weekend, I'll come over to meet Merlin & the others who will only be there then.
Will be staying with friends in McDade, and day tripping to Sherwood.
Take Care,
David Baldock
EDIT: Fixed typo and added info about Opening Weekend.
Awww... that's so sweet! I'll tell her!
I'll be coming down for opening weekend a plan to camp with the Drunken gnomes and claw. My brother says he coming but I just wait and see if he does but if he does it will be his first year at Sherwood.
LadyJess, I forgot to mention that I will be camping that opening weekend with PR. :)
I'll be working operations and security. Just look for the gray tundra with the light bar on the roof. ;)

Looks like the bachelor party will be March 10th this year for those interested. Not firm yet but that seems the best date at the moment.
*Start stockpiling rum Rengypsy... we'll be needing it about that time*
Me and my trusty Sidekick are planning on Opening & Closing weekends. Hotelling it in Bastrop. Might try to throw in another somewhere but undecided yet.
Can't WAIT!!!
The wayfairers clan will be out there every weekend. Looking forward to a great season. Come by our camp and say hi. We will have homebrew, bring your own loki. We need recipes ;)

Please check to make sure I have all the information right. And for those of you that didn't know what weekend they'd be there I put you down for every weekend so you'd better be there every weekend! ::) ;) :D
I will try to be there opening weekend. Working on job issues (as in lack of one) that may preempt that.
On the weekend of Feb 25th we will be camping with as many as can make it for my birthday weekend.
Btw... everyone is invited!
I only have a birthday once every four years and I intend to make each and every one as memorable as possible!
*rum gifts are nice but not needed, just come on out and have a blast!*
at this time the plan is opening and closing camping with PR, also maybe spring break if my cosin can make that weekend.
Curently planning on opening and the 3-day SB weekend. Would do closing weekend but I have plans for opening Scarby weekend. Gotta pace myself here....

The Impaler crew and I will be in attendance at least four weekends - Opening, Spring Break, and Closing for sure. We'll know more as opening days draws closer.
We will be attending every weekend possible, should be easy living so close to it. On multiple occasions we will have our friends with us as well and we will find a good weekend to camp for the 1st time, looking forward to that! Can't wait to see everybody again this year!
I am planning to go for opening and as many as I can muster the gas and go for.... Cat

I haven't heard of any official M`n'G pre-cannon, but you can bet one will congeal. It will be in the parking lot. We'll be traveling in a silver Odyssey, Arkansas license "Homer." That would be Homer, the Odyssey. ;D Chances are, there will be a collection of drinks cold and tasty in Homer's back end. ??? ...maybe I should rephrase that... ::)

I'm planning to be back at Sherwood for three weekends, Feb 18,19,25,26 and Mar 16,17,18. I'll be hoteling it in Elgin.
Our first batch of Loki came out 2 weeks ago

Second batch aging now Chocolate Mousse,
pre age tasting proved to be out standing.
it is in the Dark Aging
Merlin, apfelkorn, is great stuff, drank it in germany everytime we were in the field during winter
will definalty wake you up..
...ummm, say there, Beckgam.... I still haven't gotten a taste of Loki... Save me a shot?
I'll be out the 18th & 19th of February, with Clan MacGiggle and the "official" International Wenches' Guild invasion (meaning that the Local 13 Madame & Vice Madame will be in the shire). Our Laird's birthday is the 20th, and after last year's celebration in the shire, he decided that it would be an excellent tradition to continue. I'm thinkin' some will be camping & others will be hotelling it. Personally, I'm planning on the hotel, but have no idea where yet, likely Bastrop. We'll have some out both days, and a handful only on Sunday.
Husband and I will be there opening weekend! Also, this will be our first time camping! I haven't been camping in years and I'm so excited that I will be out there, sleeping under the stars and meeting new friends at night, and going to faire during the day!
You really can't beat Sherwood's camping. Truly the best Renfaire camping experience in my opinion (o:

I have to admit that our little pirate princess didn't start camping until she was over a year old. But for the pirate who prefers warmer climates, including myself, one cannot beat the modern marvel called the Mr Buddy big tent heater. We would not survive Sherwood camping without it. (o:

We were given an extended loan of a small tent heater. It made the PP a much happier camper when the temp dropped to 35 degrees when we were at TRF. Depending on how TRF goes we may try next year. We are eyeing a new tent, and new sleeping bags. We shall see.

And I love strange Merlin! Yes, I know I'm a wee one around these parts, and I will be bothering all of you with my inane questions for years now, so get used to it!
The last time I camped, it was with my family in the middle of a North Carolina heatwave, and all it took to send little me scampering back home was a very loud and very close heat thunderclap near our campsite, and I was on the phone with Dad asking him to come pick my sister, my mom and I up through a crying fit. And to think, nowadays I summon thunder and converse with water spirits!
Also - is there group camping at SWFF? This being our first time of many, I get the feeling that camping near people either from these forums or just people friendly to newcomers would be EXTREMELY helpful in helping us get settled in. Any tips, anyone?

SWFF is unique in that they have split their camp ground up. There is a general camp area where anyone and everyone is allowed to setup a tent. There is a bon fire area here and in some cases plenty of room for small tent trailers.
Along with the open general camping is the reserved group camping. This area has been set aside for established groups. They are allowed to camp in the same spot each season as long as they maintain their area and keep a certain number of campers in their area. It is for this last reason that you will see some groups petitioning people to come camp with them. They need the numbers (o:
If you are a first timer to SWFF and would like to camp with other forum members give Teach a shout. Teach is with Phoenix Risen. They have a good sized area. He can give you the details on their rules and availabitlity.
Depending on which weekends you intend to visit SWFF and how many you plan to bring with you, our camp usually has room for visitors as well. We are Clan Procrastination and are two doors down from PR. If you would like more info about our camp feel free to send me a private message. :)
I will be going! Not sure when yet, I need to buy a new car with my tax refund, and am about 6+ weeks out from getting my new Doublet, but I will be there!
I recently moved to a suburb of Austin from Dallas, went to Scarborough couple of times last year, but missed Sherwood, not this time!

That goes for any first timer, if you need a place to camp and bring no drama with you, feel free to send me a note on here. We will likely have space most weekends. Opening and closing are the tightest packed so it is a matter of getting me a name ASAP if you want to camp with us.

Wayfairers might have some space available as well. Feel free to message me as well. Don't forget we get to set up the weekend of Jan 20-22. Come on out and meet some of us.

I don't recall what is was we were doing but we were heading in the opposite direction. I think you were down by the blacksmith at the main gate and we were over by the chapel.
Was I getting re-shoed or something?
I thought maybe more getting re-tired. ;D

Annnyway.....add myself and Lady Gryphon to the opening day weekend attendees.
And may the Gods have mercy upon your souls.....

Adding 2 of Nicole's friends to my group for opening. May also be adding my friend Ashley, though it's not a definite yet. Not sure if she's ever gone before but her aunt works at sherwood. Hopefully I can convince her to tag along!!
Thanks to a lot of craptastic stuff that didn't go as I wished to this weekend I didn't get to hang around at Sherwood during the day like I wanted to. Pretty much had to leave almost as soon as I put my tent up. Spoke to a grand total of two people (which that was at least one good thing but there were so many others I wanted to at least see). The rest of the weekend stayed pretty much at that level of craptastic, nothing whatsoever went the way I wanted.
And since I screwed up on dates when letting my Love know what weekends to take off so I don't even know if I will be out for opening just yet.
I swear I am supposed to have good kharma built up but... sheesh... this just isn't my year.
ok ok... done whining...
I will see you all when I can!
If nothing else I know (well, hope at least) that I will be there my bday weekend the 25th. I only get one bday every four years and I really hope this is a good one. Also, I will have finished my last class for my masters the week before and will want to blow off a serious amount of steam.
*at least I still have my rum*
Hope I get to see you opening, Teach. Didn't actually meet you last year, but I saw you. At that time, I was a new kid on the forum and was still a bit shy. Sherwood is just too far to make more than one trip a season, so that's going to be our only time down. Things will get better... :) Have a rum.
After a talk with my Love she says I should go ahead and go and she will likely daytrip the Sunday.
I will decide at some point if I will camp both nights or just Saturday. Really not sure and likely won't know until the week of opening. Going to faire without her will be very very strange. I've only done that twice since we met and those were for bachelor parties.
*at least the rum will be there*
Hope things improve for ya Teach. The year is still young. Looking forward to seeing ya opening weekend (o:
*****UPDATED TO HERE*****
Please double check to make sure I have you down for the right dates. If you don't see your name then you just mentioned your intent to make it out...just not what weekend.
Looks like a pretty darn good turn out for opening weekend.
RenGypsy! You nearby? I gotta plan! Any idea when the 2012 shoppes and entertainers are going to be posted? We'll be there in less than 3 weeks! 8)
Okay thought I had done this already but myself and the Lady Beth will be there opening weekend for sure. After that we will be playing by ear.
Great, Angus! I think MacKee owes us an ale... See you soon!
Its been almost completely and definitely confirmed, that I will be there Opening Weekend, with my Bo'sun in tow.
We'll be camping with the Valkryie's Furi.
Can't wait to see everyone!
YEAH! ELO! Gimme an 'E'! ... gimme an 'L'! ... Ah, hell ! Gimme an ELO!
I'm not excited....no, not at all... zzzzzzzzz!

D'awwww! You know how to make a girls day! Can't wait to see you and your lovely lady! I can't wait to see everybody!!
Well, Hon, faire is a place where I can get away with hugging young girls. I work on a university campus, and they seriously frown on me hugging young girls there. :P
Does it say anything when I'm already getting bouncey about seeing all my friends I have been missing. ;D
Me too Ladt Stitch, and I've never been to the faire before. Can't wait to meet all of you.
Ahhhhh!!!!! I'm so excited! Hmm... who do I hug first? LOL
It's a great crowd, Lady Gryphon, and you're going to love Sherwood Forest. It's truly a magical place.

Oh, like everyone ISN'T looking forward to hugging Nim... :P :D
I'M the one jonesing for hugs... A babe like Nim gets lots of hugs....
Hugs for BOTH of you, good sir!
Sir Edward the Kind and Yrose for March 17th. This is the only date I know for sure of right now.

Just booked my travel this morning. I'll be missing the first two weekends. The rest of the crew will be there though.
Sorry that we'll miss meeting you...perhaps Scarby?
Thats what I'm hoping for since my travel will probably ruin any chance of seeing Sherwood this year.
That news definitely fits in the "Blows" column...
Ditto Elder. Truly not news I wanted to hear KP. Always look forward to visiting with you.
*of course that does save me a bit of rum*
Yep, my travel has been terrible this past year, and looks to be similar this year. I'm just hoping I'll have a week or two at home to enjoy Sherwood before I have to leave again.
If I miss y'all at Sherwood, hopefully I'll get to catch up with ya at Scarby.
I certainly hope so, KP. We'll drink an ale to you...then another...and another... someone may need to drive me back to Homer, the Odyssey. He'll be in the parking lot waiting patiently for me...... then... well, I just don't know...
I sure hope everyone has a great opening weekend
Unfortunately we will not be making it on opening weekend.
Not sure about when/if we will be able to come out. Too much to do with the house and we need to focus on getting the renovation projects finished. So I have a happy ;D that we will see projects completed at home but I have a sad :( that we may not make Sherwood. Anyone have a money tree so we can do both? :)
If you find one, let me know! I'm chasing that darn money faerie, hoping we can go to Sherwood at some point!

And thanks, Merlin the younger. 65 would be about optimum for me at least. ;D
My oldest food eater has to work...still a possibility that me, the wife-unit and the youngest food eater may actually make it. Have to get coverage to stand post for me on Sunday still.
Do come, son. Your dad would appreciate your company...at the tavern...to buy him a brew.... ;)
Lerxst and I will be there this weekend camping with Claw/Gnomes/Chaos, lol..
We're still scheduled to roll out of here on Friday! We just need to go shopping for noms! :)
I have to make a couple of purchases myself. propane, charcoal and hand warmers.
*also rum. There never seems to be enough rum*
Hand warmers! Thank you for reminding me, Teach!
Hand warmers... I broke down and bought a catalytic heater. ;D
Hand warmers?!? I just stick my hands .... oops ... never mind.
Oh! No! Two of our party from central Arkansas have crapped out! So it's Merlin the Elder, Nimue, and some fresh meat, and two of his nieces will join us on Saturday, coming up from San Antonio.
Looks like NO Sherwood for me & mine in 2012. :grumble:

Sniffle! Be sure to let us know if you can make it one weekend (or more!). We have no firm plans besides opening and hopefully closing, but plenty of nebulous ones for other weekends.

I wanted to break down and get one after I saw the nightly temperatures, but alas we went abit too garb happy last month and now are a shoestring budget for the next month.
We shouldn't freeze to death, we have plenty of blankets and apple cider packets.. " shouldn't " is the key word there.

Sadly, we will not be camping this upcoming weekend, due to some mundane craziness. We will be staying at a hotel in Bastrop. We're still crossing our fingers to camp for Closing Weekend!
***OK UPDATED TO HERE***
Please make sure that the info is correct!!
Yippee Skippee, the weather forcast is starting to look as though we can make it out with the wee one on opening day!
Dry, but chilly, is the way I read it...
Loading up the truck, Sister, and dogs early tomorow (Friday) to be onsite and open the Patrons campgrounds. Was going to do all this afternoon and head up tonight, but decided I wanted one more night in a comfortable bed (have to sleep diagonally on trailer queen size bed).
Campgrounds will open once I have cleared out all the folks who take the back way in and once the paid attendant gets setup.
Please form your line to the left, so that Participants can lineup on the right to get their passes. If you aren't camping, ignore this.
I'm sorta packed...
...Teach, you'd be proud of me, I packed the rum FIRST! ;D
Laundry going, camping stuff packed...sorta. Just gotta sort through garb.
Can't wait to see everybody!
You shoulda packed the rum LAST. Now you have to completely unpack before you can have a drink of rum!

Now there is the voice of experience!
Okay, I kinda sorta figured out my game plan today. It's a weird game plan, but it's a game plan nonetheless.
Step 1: Go to work. Bleh.
Step 2: Get out of work.
Step 3: Go home, finish packing, pack garb box in the car, get noms ready.
Step 4: Hop in the car, plug in the iPod, get to Bastrop some time during the evening.
Let's hope I don't forget anything! LOL!

Packing rum first makes sense. If it is the first thing you unpack then the rest may never get unpacked at all.
*once the rum is in hand, the work tends to stop*
Safely arrived Bastrop... already ran into Lord Dragon & Lady Gryphon...we're going to Cedars Mediterranean Grill a little later...
I'm here and hanging out in the hotel room! Just got the garb unpacked and I'm ready for tomorrow!
After some changes here are the two weekends I am likely to be making.

Sigh - wonderful time, wonderful people, wonderful everything except maybe the weather but I have to give in once in a while for those dear souls who like to wear leather capes, vast capes, magical robes, and who enjoy the air a bit nippy. Luckily dear Lady Celestia kept the clan fire burning in the evenings (and morning!) and she even handled the tent heater so a few of us shared a tent warmer than our own.
For now, I'm exhausted and going to bed. Too tired to do more than dream of next weekend, and the next, and the .....zzzzzzzzzzzz
I haven't found that place yet JackGonzo

We should be there. We are coming in late (not leaving until after work) on Friday and then will be there until around noonish on Sunday when he have to head home.
I will be camping with PR the weekend of March 10th with a friend.
My doctor told me that I have to stop traveling at my 32nd week of pregnancy (this is my 28th week)... Since rennie math and rennie calendars have a tendency to go hand in hand, I think we might still be able to stretch out the time and days. ;) Shh... don't tell! :)
