greetings and well-met,
just wanted to remind folk we are planning for a spectacular gathering the weekend of january 20-22, 2012 to prepare us all for our third annual sherwood forest faire.
the grounds are looking great.
robin and his merry men were out in fine fashion this last weekend. pirates, gypsies, and fairies galore.
the gathering will allow campers to set up. it will be a time for folk to help the faire with volunteer efforts in two major ways--cutting and hauling away felled trees that did not survive the drought of 2011, and, installing t-posts in between the parking rows of the parking lot.
we will have a great cover dish-pot luck at the jerusalem pub at 5pm, following by a drum circle at the seven sisters.
open to all!!!
family, friends, and strangers all welcome at our fire circle. bring your best!!!
as always, the faire will provide soft drinks, water and a couple of kegs of ale.
plan on being there.
then mark your calendars for opening weekend--february 11-12, 2012.
All - I have someone in Austin who needs a ride out to the Faire on Saturday (and possibly a ride back to Austin on Sunday). Is there anyone coming out who might have a spare seat in their vehicle? PM me if you think you can help us out - Many Thanks from Clan P.
[EDIT] Ride no longer required
everyone should attend the fire circle at the seven sisters this saturday night. i think its gonna rock. lots of energy and spirit.
For those who came out and helped cleanup the Faire area, a hearty thank you. Many fallen trees became firewood. The potluck was a great success, and the drumming at Seven Sisters had a great turnout. And for those who saw my Sioux Buffalo Dance - A Navy Chief is never intoxicated.
Sorry I missed it Chief (o: Glad everyone had a great time. Looking forward to opening weekend.
The gathering did rock! I stayed late and danced around the fire! Fun! The weather was perfect!
