OK I THINK I've seen it advertised for this weekend but for the life of me can't find specifics now.
Is it the weekend of 04/21 and when? Any help appreciated.
Rose & Crown
I believe Paul said it was 1:00 & 3:00
Check with either Paul or James at the Rose & Crown bar.
Several scotches will be sampled every weekend.
Plans for rum tasting pending, also possibly a bourbon tasting on the final weekend.
If I attend all those tastings, I'm going to need some help as well...
update from Paul
"At 2 and 5. Tour of single malts this weekend, minimum of five alcohols, I might sneak in more. Cost is $30, comes with free dessert at restaurant.
Also, I have no idea what happens if it is pouring. I keep asking and get no answer."
"The Rose and Crown Inn offers our attendees an unusually wide range of the most prestigious spirits ranging from single malt, premium Scotch and other unique whiskies and Rums in joyous camaraderie. Presented by professionals, our goal is to educate our attendees in the discerning consumption of the finest spirits known to mankind. Tastings are held daily at 2pm and 5pm. Tickets are available at the Rose and Crown restaurant."
I've done this scotch tasting and just let me tell you.... it's worth it. The scotchs were all fine single malts and the information was very helpful. I now know to NEVER try a new scotch from the Islay region. The amounts poured are generous and it's a real good time. DO IT ! I will be doing it if I'm certain to have a DD.
I did the Scotch tasting too- last year! Thumbs up! I did not like the Islay scotch either but swapped it for one I did like! I want to do it again!
This weekend, May 5 & 6, Irish whiskey at 3, single malt Scotch at 5.
Oh carp! I love Irish whiskey....by 3:30pm I'll be singing "Jingle Bells". :-\
Anyone know if the Irish Whiskey will be at 3 and scotch at 5 for this weekend, 05/19-05/20?
Hercules - The answer from our Food and Beverages Manager is 'yes' to the Irish Whiskey.
