RESCU fundraising event, with middle eastern dancing and drumming; Phoenecian buffet catered by Calaborelle's; lottery style and sealed bid auctions and door prizes drawn from the tickets. Tickets cost $25/person and can be purchased in advance from Angela Hunt (and others names to be added)
You probably know Angela Hunt as the Painted Lady at Scarborough.
For those who don't know, RESCU is an organization that provides assistance to faire crafters, entertainers, and merchants with medical bills. From the RESCU FB page "Established to promote and maintain the HEALTH and MEDICAL WELL-BEING of the participants of Renaissance Faires, historical performances & other artistic events through financial assistance, advocacy, education and preventative programs."
To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time that Scarby's event has been open to the public. I think it would be awesome for them to have a HUGE turnough and raise a TON of $ from those of us who are entertained by the very folks who travel from place to place entertaining us.
Sounds like fun! Not sure if we can make it but we will see if we can!
