If I'm not at Bristol that weekend, I'm planning on going.  Has anyone heard anything about if there will be food and beverage available for purchase?  I don't see any of those details on their website.

I just got an email back from the contact and yes there will be food and drink. But they did not tell what as in their words, "there are to many vendors to list and we are still waiting for some to respond".

I wonder why this is a dry festival.  Yes, I can have a perfectly marvelous time without any alcohol at all. I'm just curious as to the reason they chose to not allow it. That reason may greatly influence my decision to attend or not.

I have no information, so I am just guessing that it probably has something to do with the cost of the required licenses and insurance..  :-\

Muffin is correct.  The cost insurance and licensing.

I think that we shall still attend...just probably not for as long as we would have. The bonfire and beer fridge shall likely call us home early.

My understanding is that there will be beer, unless something has changed since the last meeting I attended.

Last year they had 1 food vendor and no alcohol.  If they have more this year it means things are going well and they are growing. Fantastic!

We will continue to go and support so they can get bigger and bigger. It's a charming little fair and I look forward to a lazy day there.

Was it gorillas or ninja monkeys? I can't remember exactly which, only that they were very active over in that one area!  :o LOL

I had a good time. It did decide to rain much harder right when we got our food, but the burlap overhangs in the eating areas worked to turn the drops into mist. George had a pool tournament so I ended up going with 2 of my favorite pirates.

I think the gorillas were in the trees and the ninja monkeys were on the privies.
