hope many of you can put sherwood's next gathering om your calendar to attend.
it will be labor day weekend.  should be a blast.  a party before our second annual celtic music festival (sept 22-23).  have yall heard or seen the lineup on our website?  it's amazing--21 bands slated to entertain.  phenominal talent to dazzle all the kilt-wearing celts.

And a message from our Volunteer Coordinator. Go Harriet.

YAY!!!  It's that time again!!!  Just talked to Pirous...they've removed alot of stumps, which has scarred the grounds....looks like a war zone out there! Lot's of heavy raking, hoeing, shoveling needed. Wheelbarrows may be helpful for hauling sand to fill holes...gloves , loppers, polesaws, and chainsaws always welcome. Shane and Pirous have hauled out most of the stumps, but there may be a few left....Also, please remind ALL volunteers to SIGN IN at the Pub...there will be a big sign there, and the sign in sheet will be on the bar.
It would be good if all "group leaders" would be sure all in their group have done so.
LONG LIVE SWFF!!!!
HUGS to all!

Lauren Morris, a fantastic local celtic musician, and her troupe will be playing for us this Friday evening at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Pub for our Gathering.  She will also be performing at our upcoming Celtic Music Festival on September 22-23.  If you get a chance to join us, please let her know how much you appreciate her service to Sherwood and our community.

The husband and I will be there at least one day this weekend! We have marched in one parade together, and have wanted to do the gathering weekends for awhile now, but his work never lets him off on the weekends.

I need a good nights sleep after a hard day of labor, that's for sure!

I wanted to try and make it at least one day, but after a 5 day hospital visit last week it isn't happening.

Turnout was great Saturday morning. Alot of cleanup was accomplished, and there were even volunteers Sunday morning.

A very good drumming/dancing/fire spinning session Saturday evening once the weather cooled down.

Saturday swim call was very refreshing.

One more volunteer weekend until the Celtic Music Festival. We will need weed-wackers and brush cutters to clear the growths around the area that the lawnmower can't reach.
