September 22 is not that far away. If you are not going to Sherwood's Celtic Festival and want to join our R/F barbecue, PM me.
We will still be celebrating my new job as well.
Sounds fun, will be in touch.
And if anyone is interested in dinner that Friday night, Outback Steakhouse in Lewisville (north of Vista Ridge Mall). I will need a headcount though. No live entertainment or anything, just the best staff and in the general area.
Time TBD.
As of the moment, we are planning on being there, Kett.
Now it is starting to sound like a party.
As always... wish we could join all of you! Sounds like a great time! :)

Angus, you know if I'm coming, it MUST be a party! This should prove interesting and fun... a weekend with our RenFriends without being all garbed up.
His Lordship and I will be there on Friday. :D

Garb optional...... <snicker>
Garb is tempting....but I don't fit between normal restaurant tables in my full regalia. :o ;D
Several years ago, we went to breakfast in garb before coming out to Scarby. A four-year-old there mistook me for God. A few years later, the place burned down. I'm not saying there's a connection...
:o ;D
We will be staying at the Addison Hampton for the weekend. I think that's about 10 miles from you, Doña.
Events posted on Facebook. If you are not on Facebook...can I crawl back under the rock with you, please? :)
On a more serious note, if you are not on facebook and want to join us for dinner Fri night at the Outback Steakhouse in Lewisville @ 7:00 pm, speak up.
Please don't reply in more than one location. Reconciliation is not my forte!
Twyla....errr LadyKett....is right; the actual Saturday event is on Facebook. That is so I can easily give people my correct address without posting it in a public forum. It would probably be better if you replied on Facebook; but if you are not on facebook, PM Her for Friday Night or me for Saturday.
I assume Fuzzlet would be welcomed? (I have to ask because some people don't like kids under 12)
Yes, of course. Just be aware that this is a backyard event with a very friendly bulldog. If anyone is afraid of dogs, Sybil is very friendly but she believes that all toes need a thorough licking.
It's a habit we can't seem to break her of.
My Husky used to do that! She got away from us once, was running through the neighborhood. We caught her when she stopped to lick a stranger's toes!

Of course yes for dinner Fri too!
And Sybill is adorable...
Well, I thought I had made reservations in Addison for a hotel a couple weeks back. Found I didn't, but decided to come up to Lewisville, right next to something Vista Mall. 5 minutes from Outback??
5 minutes may be stretching it a bit. :)
According to the map, it's just on the opposite side of the Vista Ridge Mall, but I can imagine a lot of traffic in that area, looking at Google Earth. It is the one at 2211 S Stemmons Fwy, isn't it?
Yes thatts hotel is very close Merlin.
Fuzzlet can sit with me all she wants. Nim will want some huggy time, too! Believe me when I say, by next month, I'm REALLY going to need this adventure!
whew, glad I logged on today to update you guys on our new little one!
got to see this thread, and now I'll talk to Lindsay (Elizabeth) about coming to these Activities, and maybe you guys will get to meet Miss Jocelyn!
I hope that you all have fun! We are in the middle of Screams prep, so no free time over here. Pass around some hugs for me. :)
I understand that during their Celtic Festival, that Sherwood is arranging somesort of remembrance for Owain. If anyone wants to change their plans because of that, I understand.
I almost wish I could go myself; but for me the atmosphere would be too jarring.
I have almost everything he ever recorded so his music will be playing on September 22. And we'll raise a toast to his memory.

That sounds good, DC...
Merlin, you're falling down on the weather spells. It's warming up again!
Yeah, so I noticed. But, Texas isn't in my jurisdiction. We wizards have rules, you know, but I was quietly breaking some. I was busy casting dry spells (yeah, go figure...) for the weekend, but forgot about the cool spells.
In Texas Hot and Dry pretty much go together... except for a couple of weeks in October and November. :P
Actually, we ended up with low humidity, so the heat didn't kill us. A nice breeze, and several of us spent much of the afternoon sitting in the back yard conversing. Both events were great fun, but I am full, and must not eat again until at least Wednesday.
Thanks to Lady Kett and Sidekick for Friday night, and to the Don and Dona...and Sybil...it was a day worthy of the Scarby family... :-*
Thank you all who came...Friday night. I had so much fun Saturday and it was great seeing everyone.
