Title: Screams Halloween Theme Park
Post by: DanielleGuinnMKT on September 05, 2012, 03:36:52 PM
To Our Scarborough Friends of the Faire,

The summer heat wave is over (we hope) and the cool nights of fall are coming along with Screams® Halloween Theme Park. As always, it is our pleasure to invite all of our Friends of the Faire to join us for the first two weekends of Screams®. We really enjoy having our Friends of the Faire out every year and appreciate the compliments and ideas that we get from you.

This year, all you need to get into Screams® is your 2012 Friends of the Faire pass from Scarborough! Show your pass at the Exit Gate during the first two weekends of Screams® and you and a guest will be admitted free. If you have misplaced your Friends of the Faire pass, bring an ID to the Exit Gate where we will have a list of 2012 Scarborough Friend of the Faire members.

Please be our guest and come see our five haunted attractions and have a brew at the Taboo Tavern. The five haunted attractions this season are The Castle of Darkness, Arcane Asylum, Unkel Koy's Klown Maze, The Ghoulish Graveyard, and 3-D Pirates of Peril Point.

Scaryoke has been moved to the Taboo Tavern and the Main Stage will host a live band every night of the season! On opening weekend we will have Backseat Molly on Friday night – voted "Rising Star of the Year" by the 2011 Texas Music Awards and Brandon Jackson (formerly of No Justice) on Saturday. Our second weekend we will have Thin White Dukes, a David Bowie tribute band on Friday night and The Enablers, a DFW dance & pop music cover band, on Saturday. There will be shows each night at 9:00pm and 11:00pm.

The Full Moon Café & Bar returns with seated dining and eerily delicious food and beverage. It is in the same location that the Rose and Crown occupies during Scarborough. It is the only full liquor bar at Screams®.

Make plans now to join us! We'll be contacting everyone off and on between now and April to keep you up to date on the plans for SRF 2013, but in the meantime, come join us for chills, thrills and a frightfully good time!

If you haven't already done so, please like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to receive the most up to date information.

Screams® Halloween Theme Park is open Fridays & Saturdays, September 28-October 27, 7:30pm-1:30am and Sunday, October 28, 7:30pm-11:00pm.

If you have any questions, please contact Danielle Guinn, Director of Marketing at 972-938-3247 x30 or by email at Danielle@srfestival.com.

Thank you again, and I am looking forward to seeing everybody.

Not having a FoF preview the week before, are you? We'll be in the area THAT weekend.

Merlin - if you come on Dress Rehearsal you'll see a lot of black - people wearing black and running around in the dark... but not like FoF preview! We have less rehearsal time for Screams than for Faire.

Hope you can come down during the run.

I wish we were able, Marga! Can't do another trip that month, because we're headed to the east coast.  We'll try again next year!

We went Friday night.  It was our DDs first time & she was a bit scared walking up to the gate.  However, once she saw VIII (incognito as a zombie pirate I believe) she relaxed a bit.  She really enjoyed seeing the park boo'd up & creepy.  She didn't do any haunted houses but I don't either.  Her brother & Dad enjoyed them enough for all of us.  We liked the Thin White Dukes & just the creepy atmosphere.

As my grandmother would say 'A good time was had by all'.

You're supposed to take your bloody crown off when you play a zombie pirate!

A 'bloody crown'... now THERE'S an idea for ScreamS!

"Shake not thy gory locks at me!"

Thanx Merlin!

I really need to find time for a trip out there. ...Shakespeare is full of ghosts.....and ideas for halloween. Though I think Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble has been a bit overdone.
