Okay, going to try and cover several topics.
The volunteer coordinator will be at the Pub with the priority work list.
For sure we need folks with weedwackers, chainsaws, root cutters, rakes, shovels. If you can bring a riding lawnmower, got lots of work for you. If you have a tractor with a brush-hog, I need help mowing the Participants and Patrons campgrounds, plus the parking lot
Need two folks with weedwackers at the entrance to trim outside the gate and inside along the wooden deck and arounds the ticket booths.
Also need weed wackers down by the jousting area to clear under the seats and also around the booths/stages by the Falconry Stage.
Will need groups gathering dropped branches. If in the Seven Sisters area, put in the firepit for Saturdays bonfire.
I and other staff member have received requests from folks to allow them to leave their camp setups in place after this weekend, so that they are setup for the Celtic Festival. For folks in the Clan areas, this isn't a problem. However, until the General/Open campgrounds gets mowed, it needs to remain empty.
Need to move all the cut/stacked wood from the Faire area to down by the Seven Sisters for the Celtic Festival and the 2013 season.
The newly cleared area for General/Open camping is available; however, there is limited camping slots and the gravel road is narrow and the area will only support tent camping.
The loop road for new clan reserved camping will get cleared the weekend after the Celtic Festival. Since the next Gathering would be in December, that would be the earliest for the new clans to come out to stake their claims and clear their sites. There will not be any gravel laid on the loop road for another year, so drive with caution.
