we need all the sherwoodians to use any and all social media means to spread the word about faire this year. we have great expectations for 2013 (1192 in nottinghamshire time)...and have spent at fair amount of money in adding new camping acreage for our patrons, a new pub, and the entertainment (we believe is over the top).
always add our website address to your twitter, email, and facebook posts.

ps. check out the new steins, t-shirts and posters. they are unbelievable.
Where do we find the new steins, t-shirts, etc...on the website?
Both the husband and I are telling anyone who will listen about Sherwood!
We are arriving for opening cannon with two newbies to Sherwood! I had hoped for a contingent out of Oklahoma, but they could possibly show later in the run, as they are most anxious to visit.
yall are great. thanks. steins, t-shirts and posters are at the souviner booth. not on the web yet.
Where can I get some fliers to hand out at work?
*There are rules about rum at work (apparently) but nothing about fliers lol*

There are a couple cases of fliers up at the Pub.
Ok to pick up some flier this weekend to drop on the freebe table at ConDFW next weekend?
Myself and 5 others will be attending SWFF for the first time. We may even add three more to our group depending on the weekend. :) Super excited. If we enjoy SWFF we will be back multiple weekends next year.

Sorry, Scarletnyx, I missed you and Alex this weekend, though I did see a pix of you guys on a link from SWFF FB page, so I know you were there.
Next week will soon be here!

I can't believe we missed you! We will definitely keep our eyes peeled next week for you Polly!
I saw Polly, Scarletnyx, AND Alex.... doesn't that count?
Yes, yes, sightings by mutual friends counts.
Merlin, I went out to the parking lot early Saturday to meet you and others. Unfortunately, you had not yet arrived.
I saved a fare maiden with a trip to the flushies before we closed the gates.
After that, all hell broke loose. I had to clean-up and prepare the Seven Sisters, respond to campers problems, and help with the mass influx of Participants and Patrons around Saturday morning. Glad my Son was there to help. BTW, my Son's Participants pass states "Mike's Minion". It's good to be the Master.
Sorry we missed you, Mike! We got there around 8:40 I think. I caught a brief glimpse of you once over the entire weekend! A busy man, you are!

What sort of fine pub brew is being served at the pub? Any local brewers taking part? Any powerful IPAs? Just a beer lover here hoping and praying for some IPA love at the Faire.
Ale's well that ends well.

I was at the new pub ( Three Stags, by the Jousting Arena ) in the morning partaking in my morning ritual, which is a cup of whatever strikes me at the Paleo Puffin out of my wooden mug followed by a stroll down the hill to the pub to listen to Klaus Weiland, when I overheard some Dane ask the lovely bartender-woman behind the counter if it was too early for IPAs. She gave a hearty, " Of course not!" and went about serving the man. So, I would gather from that overheard exchange that, yes, they do have them.
Don't hate me too much, but I thought that was a brand of beer, lol.
They do indeed have an IPA or two... I do not recall the brands, but had a couple of right tasty ones opening weekend. I have developed a taste for the hoppier IPAs here of late.
more tv and radio coverage has been happening regarding sherwood. george tells me he has 30+ billboards across texas. we still need any and all help passing on the word of sherwood. use email and twitter, whatever social media you prefer. many thanks. likewise, check out our website and sign up for our weekly emails. they are informative and offer reminders of special events and entertainment happening at sherwood each week.
Don't forget when using Twitter to use hashtags such as #faire #renaissance or #familyfun, you could also use #swff to group all of the posts together, perhaps:
#familyfun at #swff @sherwoodfaire www.sherwoodforestfaire.com (http://www.sherwoodforestfaire.com) - Come have fun in the forest, just east of Austin, Texas on Hwy 290
Think I'll tweet that now (o:
Well, that's tweet of you, KP!
Just got home from SWFF. I have to say it was awesome. I had such fun that I am already making plans to go again next year.
Sorry we missed you this weekend Lady Kaalyn. We found ourselves the victims of unexpected expenses that drained our weekend faire fund. If you don't get to make it out again this year, we hope to see you at TRF in the fall.
I wish i could make it out again this year but its just not in the cards. I will make it a point to stop by and say hello at TRF. ;D
