Title: May 31st - ValleyFair
Post by: Random Girl on May 09, 2008, 06:57:09 PM
My birthday is on the 27th and since I will be in Wisconsin for Memorial weekend and my actual birthday is on a Tuesday I thought that Saturday May 31st would be an excellent day for a birthday.

So the plan is this:

ValleyFair
May 31st 10AM
Bring a dish to share and eat in Picnic Cove (ARRRRRR!!!) because I know that more than just me are cheap bastards.
Kids are welcome, mine will be there!
and if it's super nice out the WaterPark is open by then too!

I work but I'm trying to get Jenn to go and have some fun on her own with you guys. She needs some "adult" time with being around kinds all the time. We are going June 23rd for her Bday so the kids can wait and go then.

I used to be able to get them through work too but not sure on the prices, won't be going anyways.

To bad, we could have used the gimp in a wheel chair factor to get everyone to the front of the line for the ride....lol....

So worth it though.

OK i just checked on this i can get pretty much as many of these as I want. So for the low low price of 22.50 who wants em,
Lets get a list together so I can get these purchased. Also for those of you who are driving if you wan the reduce parking rate i'll need to know that as well.

So far I've got:

Myself & Synn
Harem_Pant (2)
Willum (2)
Muffin & Capt (2)

Capt. B and I have also accumulated a bunch of coupons for $10 off. Which brings it to 26.95.

::EDIT:: However Tanner and I will gladly take 2 tickets at the super duper cheap price.  Can I write you a check that you would be so kind as to not cash until the following Friday?  *grin*  paycheck to paycheck sucks ballz

Lukasz and I were going to get some $10 dollar off coupons for when we got there.  I have no clue what time we'll be down.

Do we have a set time we all want to meet there?  Are we meeting at the gates or in the lot?

Don't know what you've gotta do with those tickets Toarmod but I could get 2 of them from you at some point?!

I wish that I could, but as I don't get paid till the following Friday and I'll have to "front" the cash for these I'd appreciated payment on Sat or poor Toar shall be broke'ed   (paycheck to paycheck does suck :))

Yup I'll be pickin them up as soon as i get a final count! (hopefully tomorrow)

Willum does bring up a good point should we meet somewhere other than the VF (i.e. Grab some breakfast, hand out tickets/ parking passes.

Which segways to another point "parking passes".  Please let me know if you need those as well!

I was just assuming you not have to worry about parking passes....   considering its not a HUGE money saver.  $1 dollar...

True dat! It would be a lil' easier if i didn't have to "front" those. But as I already threw it out there I didn't want to not offer. :P Also, that would make it so we didnt have to meet outside of the parking lot.

So ya, everyone blame Willlum fer the extra buck you'll have to pay fer parking! ;D

I'll for-go the parking so you don't have to worry about that.  But If you can get them, Lukasz and I will both take tickets from you.  And we can pay you back right away before you give them to us!  That'd be great.  If something comes up and you're not able to get us the tickets we'll also be bringing some of the $10 off coupons we can use at the gate.

I would assume that Capt, Muffin, Tanner and myself will probably ride together.  So there is that.

And *sigh* I can give you cash on Saturday.  *wince wince cringe*

*mutters to self* I'm saving money I'm saving money I'm saving money...

What time are you all planning to get there? I have something wrenched into the middle of the day...so if you get there at opening and stay til closing...then having fun will be not a problem...except that 4 hour gap where I have practice...on a friggin saturday!

I will be there at opening and stay until I just can't stand it anymore and since Avalon will not be joining me (per her father's "request") I will probably be there pretty late.

Ok I think since only one person was interested in breakfast that the meet up will occur at the gates at roughly 10 AM.  I will be there a mite early because I'm just that way.

It might rain tomorrow so bring an umbrella or something similar to keep rain off you.  HOWEVER the high is supposed to be somewhere around 80 and with the chance of storms brings humidity, I for one will be bringing my suit for the possibility of Waterpark goodness.

Bring a food item to share at the lunch in Picnic Cove.  I will be bringing hot dogs and buns.

I am going to retire to my couch and will my cold to piss off.

See everyone tomorrow morning!!!!

It's freaking GORGEOUS out!  Awesome day for the park, and here I sit at the computer between the wedding and the reception.  Man I wish I could be in two places at once!

I'm glad you all had such a beautiful day for your time outside playing.

Beautiful day.  Bummed we had to leave it early but my puppy's bladder can only hold it so long.  Anyways, never did see any storm clouds down there, however, on our way home saw the dark skies to the north.

Thanks to Muffin, Bacardi, Lily, Willum, Lukasz, Nessa and Tanner for a fun day!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Lots of exercise and fresh air (and cake!)...must go crash now.

Yep it was a great time other than my brief freakout when Tanner went missing for like an hour and a half.
It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to dangnubbit.

The cake was phenomenal and the rides were fun although after having a baby for some reason I am like super sensitive to motion now.  So I think this will be the last time I ride rides..until Avalon makes me.

Mommy Mommy!!! I want to ride the TILLAWURL!!

*blech*

Happy to be home, in bed, nap was great.  All in all a great day.

YIKES...

That looks terrible Muffin! Hope you guys didn't get anything damaged by the hail!

I don't think we got any hail here in Lakeville.

Gin and I were on the road when this went down. We were driving up 169 from Kato and got caught by the leading edge of a big arse thunder boomer. It seriously went from light out to dark in and instant. It was kinda surreal watching it develop. We could tell quite a ways off that we were probably going to drive into it.  We could see the clouds and all the rain off in the distance. Wish we had our camera with. Would have made for some good pics.

Anyway, We got tagged outside of Belle Plaine , then again between Jordan and Shakopee. There was plenty of lightning all around and when the skies opened up they opened up! Heavy rains! and not just heavy, but those large drops too. We could barely see the road in front of us. Luckily the rain didn't last long. It was the leading edge and we just got barely nipped by it as they bulk of the storm passed behind us. I would not have wanted to be on that road 15 minutes latter. I bet things really suxed then!

We got all of this in about 30 seconds then it was gone in about 30 more when the rain started.
