Title: Changes for 2013
Post by: Prof. John Bull on July 12, 2013, 01:39:45 PM
So, what's different this year?

I see that four members of the Vodka Family have formed a musical group called "Pros and Cons."

Black Velvet Band has disbanded, and two of us have formed a new sea shanty group called "Hardtack Jack."

There are rumors that there is a new sheriff in town.

Michael confirmed ealrier this week there is a new sheriff in town.

The Cabin Boys are still searching for a stage home, as we have not heard back from anyone, which is odd...but not unexpected.

Uncle Vanya has retired.  His knees can't take it anymore, he said.  He'll be out "visiting" though.
I believe that the new Sheriff is Captain Merriwether from Mermaid Cove last year.

Since the mermaids were so popular it sounds like they are going to try to do something similar with fairies in the Secret Garden area. Carr Hagerman touched on the subject on the Burn & Brew podcast http://www.burnandbrew.com/blog/sensationalizing-nothing-and-selling-it-something (http://www.burnandbrew.com/blog/sensationalizing-nothing-and-selling-it-something)

The suggestion of Fae in the Secret Garden has been ongoing for YEARS!  I'm glad that they are finally going to (attempt to) appropriately utilize that space!

My only concern is could it mean families on the street will miss out on the fairies as street characters (other than Twig) if they don't get down that way, or if there's a line to see it like the mermaids?
