Title: Getting onto festival grounds safely pre-season
Post by: Stolenhalo6 on August 09, 2013, 07:43:52 AM
Good morning all- I am making a trip out to the festival grounds today to get our cart opened and cleaned. Any advice on how to get in safely? I can't go through the quarry route, I assume. I was thinking of going in the main patron entrance off of 169. Is that open and driveable?

Thanks for your advice!

You can still drive on to site itself through "A" gate or "B" gate. On weekdays I still come in through the back road from Highway 41. The gravel pit traffic isn't that heavy. Haven't heard any warnings about blasting

I was hoping you'd see this and reply, sir. You seem to be a very well informed gentleman. Thank you.

Aww... I try ;-)
I asked the campground director about blasting. He said they haven't been evacuating the campground as they did a 2-3 years ago he wasn't sure about whether they were clearing people from the south end of site, but I don't think it happens as often as it did at the time we got the warnings.
