Here's some thoughts.  I'm sure I'm in the minority but I find it incredible that mundane lawmen have had to be asked into the camp grounds after the realm has only been in existence for 4 years. I've heard portions of the incidents that brought this on but still I find it incredible in a sort of "that escalated quickly" way.           I've heard whispers of some key members of the cast moving on/being let go/not returning for 2014.             I recall a "collision" in faire between those being a bit naughty/floggy near the jousting field and a joust field "hand". My only comment on this is that I hope sherwood grows some "naughty bits" soon so that those who enjoy such activities may do so without calling down thunder. These are my thoughts as of late.    Cheers and Long Live King George!

Actually, Johnny, I was surprised that outside law enforcement had not been involved from the beginning.  While it is nice to believe that everyone will agree and get along, that is not a reasonable expectation for a business which is open to the public or any kind of large, diverse group of people, such as would be in the workers' campgrounds.  There will always be someone who wants more than their share (aka thieves) and mean drunks and bullies.

As for cast changes, some have been announced, but hopefully those not returning have happened on more expanded gigs (I won't use the term better).

And sometimes your sent home from work, for an utterly stupid reason. And sometimes you decide to use the fact that you've gotten off early to do some grocery shopping at wal mart. And when you are heading toward the check out you see a man with a sherwood shirt on and hail him. Then you find out said man is named Kirby and owns the geod digging site at trf. And then you proceed to chew the rennie fat with Kirby for nearly an hour in the middle of wal-mart and after exchanging info with the man realize maybe, just maybe, some one up there is trying to tell you it's gonna be ok.

I'm sad to say, unless someone is paying the way,I will not be attending. It just wouldn't be worth the time, money and or effort in my book. Sherwood is home, and will continue to be so. But all other faires.... lets just say , knowing what I know, again it pains me to say so but it just wouldn't be worth it.  :'(
