He had a sex change ?
ROFL--that would be something to see !
Well he already has the hair for it...... :o
No kidding, he does have great hair!
I think it's a *little* someone he's talking about,right? :)
Hell I thought he was dead.
Was listening to Freddy and Queen today...
But no.
And I'm thinking Fig's on Sat night. End of Sept, closing weekend.
ooo...Intriguing!!
Will we get clues? :D
Ok one clue, or should I say question.
but only one.
Is this person a relative of yours?
nope.
I know who's standing behind door number three... ;)
Either or both of you can trade what you now own for what's in that big box on the Display Floor! Whaddya say?
Another hint....
You know her. She's from out of state.
and I'm thinking a fire is in order that weekend.
I'm gonna say Festmum, Welsh Wench, or Divapixie..Is it one of those 3?
nope...
Would you trade for what's behind door #3 for the large box?
hmm...
I guess...Lady Renee, Queen Bonnie, or Lady Nicollette
Is it our beloved Queen Bonnie ?
( No..Monty,,,i don't want whats behind the curtain, i want the cash , unless there is a pirate ship and some rum, or some new court dresses behind the curtain! ;D )
My guess is Queen Bonnie or Wenchie.
Esc!
Bingo!
Did someone call me? Ahhh, just read the thread. Baron, you've spread the news already *grinning* Good! Looked like DB was gonna win there for a moment since he had inside information, but the CongaRats will be visiting renren for figuring it out.
Yes, I am coming to Mn for faire, last weekend including Friday, airfare is already purchased to it's a guarantee. The Baron and Baroness have kindly offered me a place to stay since I used my spending money at MetroCon on a new cloak *chuckling* Weeelllllll ... it was my colors and I need a warm cloak if I'm coming in to freezing weather.
The fire and Fig's both sound wonderful. I look forward to spending time with each and every one of you, my unmet friends.
*chuckle* I already knew... ;D
Can't wait to see you, Esc!
Escarlata Dah-ling! How positivley fabtacular to find out you'll be coming to MN!
Can't wait to see you again, Love!
MG
*grinning* and I can't wait to see both of you! Wheeeeeee - is it time yet?
Looking forward to meeting you Escarlata!! ;D ;D
Yay! More new/old friends to meet!!!
I'm really looking forward to the trip and am using it as an excuse to kick myself in the rear and get the sideless ... oh, hell, it's been so long since I worked on it I can't remember what it's called. Anyway, I want that new garb finished for this trip.
Yay! Escarlata is coming!
Excuse me, but I just jumped for joy (sorry about that celling fan hun). Holy cow, now I can't wait even more.
Esc is coming, Esc is coming, Esc is coming, Esc is coming, Esciscoming,Esciscoming,Esciscoming,Esciscoming.
I'm all a dither. YEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait.
Hey Esc, do you think you can stow Wenchie away in your bag? I mean, she isn't very big, she'd fit.
And you realize that now you purchased a new cloak to bring up here, it will still be 90 and humid that weekend!
Can't wait-Can't wait!!!
Calm down there, cowboy, your Southern is showing. I can't wait either to meet you and your lady, Fig. It's been a long time coming and I owe you several kisses. I tried to get the Baron to deliver one and *shaking my head* well, I guess I should never send a man to do my dirty work *chuckling*
You've got a hug coming, renren, and I want to at least meet the rugrats.
KmK, I'd love to smuggle Wenchie along in my bag. That's not the problem. The real issue is the extra three bags it would require to get her there. I mean, she never knows what she'll want to wear so she just brings it all along.
As far as the weather, sweetie, I'd be in heaven if it were 90 and humid. I'm a Florida girl, that's my kind of weekend.
Aw... last weekend? We'll be splitting our forces that weekend so I'll be at an event in Indiana while the wife minds the MNRF shop.
If we're(the hubby and I) the girls will be too! They won't forgive me if they miss a faire!
They went to Twig, and now they're HOOKED! ;D
I'm a proud faire-momma!
You got hugs comin' too!

I'm SO renvious! She will be delivering hugs like the Easter bunny delivers eggs!
*giggling* Do you think it's really safe to compare me to a bunny, all things considered???
Groomporter, I was really disappointed when I read that you were going to be off at the other event. I have long looked forward to meeting you and *chuckling* maybe having a discussion about merkins or other fascinating subjects. I'll look forward to meeting your wife, though you may want to warn her about the demon spawn part.
Wenchie, you know I'd pack you up in a heartbeat. Just get me the list of hugs to be delivered, you know I'm up for it.
Gotta do Fig's Sat night...plan on it.
And I so knew Simmons was dead yet...
Not dead yet. (http://www.clipstr.com/videos/QuitePossiblyTheFunniestWhoseLineIsItAnywayUSEver/fullscreen.html)
I'll be two days in to faire and still rarin' to go. Just point me in the right direction and, if I drink, don't ask me to sing. Actually, don't ask me whether I drink or not, trust me on that.

Sad to say, that after 2 years of visiting MN over Labor Day weekend, Steve and I can't make it up there this year. Thanks for thinking of me, though. We'll see what the future holds.
So many faires, so little time. Sigh.
It shall be nice to meet you. Come see me at the pub!
Will do it, Sitara, I want to try to meet everyone. I may not drink anything *chuckling* I get in enough trouble without adding alcohol to my caffiene system.

If you're not drinking , I know where the best coffee/tea is! Tillies! I went there so often last year, they asked me if I worked at the faire! LOL! It's close to the meade booth, we'll show ya!
Mmmmm! Tillies! I loves me those folks! Point of interest, Tillies is between the TWO Mead Booths. Not sure if they will start off with two this year, but a 2nd one was opened in the shop next to Bad Manor. Tillies Bean is drectly across from the Pavillion. I'd post a map if I could! Everyone needs to know where the coffee is!!
Oh HUZZAH!!!! A place to buy real caffiene??? A latte mayhaps? Any chance of choices of dairy product? RenRen, I'll be right there with you *chuckling*
Funny about drinking, it's not that I don't enjoy it. It's just that I'll only ride with someone I know hasn't consumed anything. But I won't put my requirements on anyone else. Therefore, nine out of ten times, I end up as the designated driver. But if I find someone who never drinks, I'll have a drink or two. And when I'm home and the keys are locked in the freezer or the second drawer of the bureau, then we're on.

Aye m'lady! Mocha, Latte, Chai. Everything a Festie/Rennie needs!
*you can ask me where the Mead Booth is. You can ask me where the coffee booth is. Heck! You can even ask me where the best places are to buy clothes! Just don't ask where the place that sells potter is at!! I can't point in that many directions at once!*
Aye yes, we have a lovely little coffee stop at MNRF. However, I do hope the service is faster than last year. 30 minutes (yes, it was really that long) for a cappuccino. Let's hope they've worked the bugs out of that system.
I tend to make sure I stop by before opening cannon. Which our playtron friends unfortunately cannot do. Even then, there is a a short wait. Unless you stop by during morning cast call.
The dairy product thing, not quite sure, but they are a myspace friend, so I'll ask!
I like both coffee and tea,and I'm pretty finicky about both... Tillies hasn't let me down!
I tried some tea at another booth..was..ok. Never been to the queen's tea,so I don't know how that is!
Tillies is just a few booths down from Foaming. I stop there every morning on my way to opening the pub. Mmmmm...lattes.

He is a new-ish to the forum. I am sure he will catch on.
*grinning* Then I'll be just a bit careful with Rafe, don't want to scare him away too fast.
Phoenix, it'll be fun meeting you. Seeing you in pirate garb made me remember that I have to figure out what garb I'm bringing with me. Maybe pirate one day ... hmmmm, don't think I'll try to put the corset in a softsided suitcase .... hmmmm, gotta think on this.
Baron love, it's a good thing the meet and greet is that early in the morning. Being first thing to do, I might remember to get there. If there's any other time that anyone needs/wants me to be somewhere specific, make sure to grab ... wait a minute, possible bad choice of words *pondering* nah, you can grab me, just do it gently and with genuine affection ... and bring me along. Otherwise, I'm very apt to be in the right places at the wrong times for what others expect.
There are always interviews planned, sometimes even accomplished. But I never tell ahead of time who I'm interviewing or when an article will be published. I've learned that too many things can (and will) happen.
Oh what and education he'll get too muhahahahhah!!! In all my Rennie life, I can honestly say, this is the only time I've ever been looking forward to the final week of fest.

*chuckling* Rafe, I'm going to look forward to meeting you. I'll remind you gently about not being a Lady the first time *grinning* then I'll have to show you what I mean. And, just in case you switch to Ma'am like a friend of mine, be warned that it always makes me feel like a school marm. Watch out, 'cause I sometimes carry a ruler.

Luckily I am not totally bereft of social skills. Usually if one does not desire to be called a "Lady" then calling them "Ma'am" will bring nothing but pain and tears.
*smiling softly* then I shall try to emulate you, good sir, and quit baiting the locals. After all, it is I who will be visiting, wouldn't want to wear out my welcome before I actually arrive.
Hey, I know we're planning on Fig's Saturday night (and, yes, Fig, I expect you to sing for me) but what else do you all suggest? I'll be there Thurs afternoon through Monday morning.
Well if you like shopping there's always Mall of America. It's something to see, that's for sure. Go to far out into the hinterlands south of here, and you'll see lot's and looooots of corn fields.
OHHHH, Corn!!!
My ex still teases me about being in Ohio and amazed as I watched the ... what the heck is the right name for the machine that harvests the corn? ... anyway, watching the machine spill the shucked ears of corn, like a golden stream of water ... hey, don't go there! ... into the waiting trailers.
Shopping's OK, going the Mall of America would simply be for the experience itself. I can't imagine getting that close to such a place and not being able to say I'd been there. Maybe even a t-shirt for Bit-o-Pixie that says "They went to the Mall of America and all I got was this stupid shirt."

Better know by some of as the "Mall of Gomorrah" "The Commercial Cathedral" "The Fall of America" or "Camp Shoot-me" after an incident over a team jacket a few years back.
::)
The frugal part if me is bouncing with excitement. Just reserved the rental car, by waiting until now the price dropped $4 per day. Of Course, it could have been $2 less than that if I'd been willing to pay for the gas on a mid-sized SUV.
For any of the out of towners that haven't reserved a vehicle yet, HotWire.com has the SUV's for $11.95 and the economy and compacts for $13.95. Hope it helps someone.
kiddo you'll be about 10 minutes away from the MOA.
*chuckling* Be nice or I'll force you to go with me ... just to show me where to get that t-shirt.
Shhhhh, don't tell the Baroness, but I've GOT to get to sewing. I want to be able to show her that I do occasionally follow through on an improv plan.
If it were or mayhap, is possible, I know the wife and I would love to escort you any where thou would'st wish to go.
Fig, I'd love to have you and your Lady's company at any point. I'll be in on Thursday afternoon and don't know what, if anything, the Baron and Baroness have planned. I plan to attend Faire Fri, Sat, & Sun, hopefully making the Feast of Fantasy one day and the Queen's Tea another. I know that Saturday night we definitely intend to be at your place but I also know that you'll be working. I fly out early Monday.
By the way, are the any sushi lovers in the Minnesota gang? I'd love to have some while I'm out and about, though it's definitely not a requirement. If there's someplace or thing that is unique to Mn (like the MOA), then I'd rather do that since I can get sushi anywhere.
OK, I'm seriously pouting. I've been reading Groomporter's posts in the "Things Skippy" thread and I know he's not going to be at MnRF when I am and ..... [whiney voice]I wanted to meet him[/whiney].
Actually, I've wanted to meet quite a few of you for years and I'm going to get to. But ... but ... but I wants everything I wants when I wants it and I'm not gonna get it.

There is an OK Sushi place in the MOA, but I forget the name.
One of our favorite places for sushi is in South Minneapolis It's called Bagu

Been too long since I've been to Fujiya to say.
The wife and I are planning to be there Friday and Saturday, Esc. I work the bar both Friday and Saturday nights. But any time you want we shall do our best to be at your beck and call. Right now is getting a little harder though. Brandi's mom isn't doing very well lately. Her cancer is really sapping her faster each day. But I'm sure we can work something out. This is a very special occasion after all though, and she knows how excited I am about getting to meet you.
GP, is there any chance you're going to be in town on Thursday evening? I can't remember when you said you had to start driving. If you're going to be around I'd love to try to plan a sushi get-together for Thursday. Anyone that likes sushi is welcome to join us.
Fig, While I look forward to meeting both of you, what's going on in your life is more important. I know that I'll be at the bar on Saturday for sure. Haven't made firm plans for any other night yet. Let's play it by ear but both of you count on getting, at some point, those hugs and kisses I promised.
Fig, this woman will owe me a dollar if we do what she wishes. A whole dollar!
Esc...who you going to interview for Faire Friends when your up here? Any requests?
Ya, you might want to be careful who you select, with our group, you could have your hands full. ;)
*chuckling* If I interview Faire Friends, it may end up something like the "Have you met the St Molden's Invaders? (http://www.fairenews.com/78/have-you-met-the-st-moldens-invaders/)" Are you all sure you want yourselves exposed like that? If so, I'm up for it. Think on a good time/place that we can sit and let me ask impertinent questions. Anyone willing to be included, be there or be square.
And, Baron .... if you'll give him a succubus' kiss, I'll give you both a dollar *giggling* however, Fig has to be willing, I never kiss an unwilling subject.
Kissing you Esc, as long as the wife of course say yes, then, not only yes, but heeeeeell yeah :-* ;) :-*. Now as for the Baron......well now I love the guy, but not THAT much. :o
As for the interview idea, I think that's a great idea. I'm game.
Escarlata Has Landed, She will see you all tomorrow or during the weekend.
I think I might just hide this weekend Leinad.... ;D
Swing by the shop and say hello :D

Here's hoping you have a good weekend, Groomporter! Snappy outfit. ;) :D
Welcome to MN, Escarlata! Hope you have a restful night. It will most assuredly be a busy and funfilled weekend for you. Huzzah!
Safe Travels, Groomporter and crew! And don't even tempt me on the wrong turns, I love long meandering trips *chuckling* Heck, that's how I found Bristol thirteen years ago. Just out driving around, didn't even know there was a faire going on, heard an ad on the radio and thought it sounded like fun. That trip is a shaggy dog story, the more often I tell it the more I remember and it gets longer and longer.
See you all soon ... actually sooner than I thought, Fig and Brandi came by to give me the tickets. That's when I discovered what time faire opens. I would have been berry berry late.
Escarlata!!
It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday!! One of these days, the Earl adn I will get down your way. For he has many of his New York relatives in Florida now.
Have a wonderful stay in our realm. May you have a safe journey back to the Sunshine state.
My dear Escarlata it was a pleasure to meet you and to properly tie you up in your Bodice. Safe travels and hopefully we shall meet again.
Escarlata,

Hope you enjoyed our faire, Esc! :)
Thanks, everyone, I had a wonderful time. My thanks to each and every one of you. I'll post more later, spending the evening with the Ranger!

I'll second that a hundred fold my dear.
Egads, I had a marvelous but entirely too short a time.
Things I will always remember (not people, they have a completely different place in my heart) include yellow-jackets who wanted to share any drink, ladybugs who loved my red, and segregated privies. The time I spent in the Secret Garden, both listening to the fiddle player from the Black Velvet Band and alone between groups of visitors, was very special, the peace of the place just filled me. The exhaustion Friday evening that put me down and out, surprising the heck out of me. Getting to see the Vagabond (aka Randy) perform while sipping a Sparkling Cider & Cinnamon Ice Cream float and catching him at several impromptu shows throughout the shire. Sitting in on one of the last performances by Drunk & Disorderly.
Meeting so many people that I've talked to and read for years was a delight beyond measure. Fig and Brandi, Storm, Jack & Janelle, Tarac, OMar Guiness, Leyla, Peggy & Liz, LD & Rage, Rafe, Noble Dreg, Goody & Mom, MG & Mike, Sleepy & Jen, Slugger, de IdearMan, Lily, DB & Nyte, Bacardi & Muffin, RenRen & Lady Serena, Kiss-me-Kate & Girl Child, Lord & Lady Olmstead, you all made faire so much fun. Thanks for letting me hang out with you and for not being offended when I wandered away on my own. To all the wives and girlfriends who let me flirt with their fellas *grinning* thanks. For all the fellas that let me flirt with their wives and girlfriends *wicked grin* thanks. Hopefully I didn't scar Kiss-me-Kate's GirlChild for life.
I'm sure I've missed a dozen or so names in that list and for that I apologize. To the lurkers I met, get in here and get your hands dirty. We won't bite ... well, some of us will if you ask us to. To those who I missed getting to meet, there'll be other days, other faires, other opportunities. Trust me ... we'll see you at Faire!
Special Request: If anyone have pictures of me from Friday in the red and gold outfit, please drop me a PM. I've ended up with none and had promised a finished product picture for the thread up in Sewing. Help?!?!
