There is also one being partly filmed at the Mich Ren Faire at the moment and a few other locations in Michigan called "All's Faire in Love", see below -
Crew, stars shooting scenes here By Marc JacobsonFLINT (WJRT) -- (09/16/08)-- First came the Will Ferrell movie "Semi-Pro." Now, just over a year later, downtown Flint is once again the location for a major Hollywood production.
Several A-List stars are in town to film scenes. As ABC12's Marc Jacobson tells us, Flint could be seeing more big screen exposure in the future. Downtown Flint is getting another dose of Hollywood. Production began this morning on scenes for the upcoming film "All's Faire in Love."
"The Mott Foundation building is a beautiful, historic building, which matches our opening scene," Producer Ron Singer said. Christina Ricci spent the morning filming scenes at the Mott Foundation building. Ricci stars as a college grad, pressured by her family to get a job in finance.
"She comes here and interviews for a job and realizes that it's not where her heart is, and instead, wants to be an actress at the Renaissance Fair," Producer Scott Reed said. The film also stars Cedric the Entertainer and Bill Engvall. Additional scenes will be filmed Wednesday at Atwood Stadium and at Mott's RTC.
"Some additional scenes were added, and we reacted quickly and amazed these guys by finding three new locations over the weekend," Flint Convention and Visitors Bureau President Jerry Preston said.
Producers say, that fact, coupled with Michigan's tax incentive program, makes Flint the perfect backdrop for filmmakers.
"Because of the different locations and opportunities, I think it will be a great thing ongoing, and it will benefit Flint, Detroit and all the cities in Michigan," Reed said. Many Flint-area residents could make an appearance on the big screen. Producers are searching for extras. Larry Ford, the Downtown Development Authority CEO, was in the right place at the right time. "They grabbed me, and took me upstairs. And now, I'm ready to go. I guess I'm a movie star now. Maybe I'll sign some autographs," Ford quipped.
After filming finishes up in Flint, production of "All's Faire in Love" will move to the Renaissance Festival in Holly for five weeks before heading back to L.A. "All's Faire in Love" is expected to open in theaters next summer.

All's Faire in Love is the movie rising from the ashes of Ye Olde Times and will be released this summer. Check out link for the Trailer:
http://www.patriotpictures.com/ (http://www.patriotpictures.com/) ...Trailer is on top right.
I also posted the above on the PaRenFaireNetters Forum. The basic response was that it looks like it might be a real hoot. I then suggested we might attend in garb, just like Trekkies! We will be organizing a group trip to see it when it comes out this summer. Any excuse to be in garb!
Meh... the film looks okay. It would be fun to attend in garb though, just to see the looks on the mundanes' faces.
Of course my friends and I will be attending in garb! ;D We wouldn't consider going any other way. ;)
That movie looks really good! I would love to go see it when it comes out.
