Title: She has saved thousnads of lives...
Post by: Sir Ironhead on June 20, 2014, 04:34:20 PM
Stephanie Kwolek invented the flexible, tougher than steel fibers that were used to create life-saving body armor for law enforcement and soldiers.  Kwolek died this week at the age of 90, her co-workers at DuPont, the chemical company where Kwolek worked, confirmed to ABC News.

It's better known as Kevlar.  I know her invention saved my life so I give her credit for saving my life.

That is a shame. I worked for a week at that company that DuPont hired to clean their ventilation shafts.

Lets just say, no matter how tough you think you are, if your legs twitch at standing at the railing of the second floor of a mall that cutting a hole in a ventilation shaft 17 floors up is probably not a career choice for you.

Glad everyone is not as scared as me. Imagine the first field test of kevlar....
