Hello everyone -
I received news this morning that Joe Kudla, or Thomas Snot, of the Puke and Snot Show was found dead in MN this morning. For now, that's all of the information I have, but I've been trying to get into contact with a few people who may know more about the situation.
I've been working next to their show for five years and have been friends with Joe just as long, as the baby of the Pustino pub family. Dawna, the beer wench who works with me, as been friends with Joe for fifteen years and both of us are very upset over this news.
As soon as I get more information, I'll be sure to post it up here. If anyone else has any news about this, please respectfully share what you can.
Thanks,
Amy
I just heard this too. This is very sad indeed! Joe's family and loved ones will be in my prayers!

F$%'ed UP!
here's what I found http://fitzthetoad.livejournal.com/ so far
Oh no!
That's sad news indeed!
There is still not much news. I have received word that Betty has been informed, as have Iris and Rose, I do have friends in MN who promise to give more details when they become available.
...oh my god :(
I found a livejournal comment stating that he was not feeling well last night and died of a heart attack some time between last night and when he was found
This has not been confirmed, but as it is the only explanation I can find I'm posting it.
that is absolutely terrible.
Happy Trails, Good Snot... My you never leak in your mug again.
I hate mortality.............. This is very sad news. Rest in Peace.
WOW at a loss for words.

It will not be the same working at my booth and seeing the (Puke & Snot's) Legend Stage empty this year. I've been working across from them for almost 10 years now. Joe will be sorely missed.
This is horribly sad :'(
The reaper is just adding up the numbers this year. This is terribly sad, I can't believe it. Next year won't be the same!

Check out the sites
A lot of this links are links that are already up. Can we try to refrain from reposting them as they confuse people and get redundant with the same old info.
If we post links, please read through the thread and make sure your not re-posting old info in another post. If you have new information or a new link, then please post it.
Thanks
That's so sad to hear. I caught them last year at CoRF and they were very very funny.
Man....My heart goes out to his freinds and family. Grew up watching him.
I suppose it's good to see that Mark intends to continue the show with a stand-in Snot for just now. It's always encouraging to see people forging on even in the face of a great loss. I hope he is able to make it through the performances at Minnesota.
here's a link worth following..........

There will be a full story posted to Gazette.com some time tonight, and a version will run in the paper (sadly, the story that was written has been cut in half for publication).
There will be a hole in the fair family now :'(
I still can't believe it, what a shock. Minnesota is such an awesome faire- Mark will have alot of support.

VERY nice job! I especially liked your quotes from the locals...
I only got the phone call last night around 11:30, and like most of you I'm sure, I was completely taken off guard. This is of course most upsetting news!
Just remember, when one of our shipmates is called to shore for the last time, it is but a new first page; in a new first chapter; of an entirely new book! Joe, make this one as great and grand as the last one! We know you will.
So, in true Navy fashion (sorry, I'm a retired Navy Chief) I wish to you Joe the traditional, "Fair Winds and Following Seas".
Farewell Shipmate. You will always be missed, but you will never be forgotten!

I can honestly say the world is less funny now. I will miss him. My heart goes out to his family, to Mark, and to every one that ever knew him. Fly free Joe fly free
I just saw a spot about it on channel 9. I'm thrilled that they recognized the importance of this loss.

Your story was much better than the others I've read. Well done.
It is with a heavy heart that I was fortunate enough to find this place. I was looking for more information on Joe. It is hard to believe he is gone from us. I fortunate enough to get to know him at the bakery. He will truly be missed by all.
